G A M E D A Y: Spurs (34-21) @ Suns (18-37), 930PM Central

WHERE: Talking Stick Resort Arena, Phoenix, AZ
TV: ESPN
VEGAS: O/U 208, SA -8.5

Phoenix is definitely a team trying to find its way long-term, and after a nice three-day layoff for the good guys, a matchup like this to break our two-game skid may be what the doctor ordered-- but we all know doctor's visits sometimes bring unforeseen outcomes, so hopefully the Suns won't catch us napping and snap their own three-game slide.

Phoenix will be running without leading-scorer Devin Booker (left hip), and we all know what's up with our crew; expect the purple-and-orange to run through TJ Warren a lot, hoping to build off his solid 24-point showing in last night's loss to the Lakers. Neither team has played well lately, so something's got to give tonight-- hopefully it'll give our way.

This is an important game. Especially with Minnesota playing Cleveland tonight. This late All-Star break has everybody thinking there is half a season left but we only have 27 games left to hold on to the 3 seed somehow.

If someone told me before the season that we wouldn't have Kawhi for 50 games this season I would have expected much less than where we are but now we need to try and hold it.

Looks like Bertans is in the starting line-up again for Pau. Like last year, at some point Pau came off the bench. Maybe it'll work out, but Bertans is green, and it's seasoning by fire. I hope he - and we - play much better tonight.

On another note, does anyone else find this astounding? I had no idea we (other NBA teams, too?) practice so infrequently, or at least have so many days in between practices:

Yes. NBA teams mostly just have shoot arounds and walkthroughs during the season unless they have 3-4 days off which was a rarity with this years heavy schedule before the all star break.

Looks like our practice helped though with a 50 point lead in the 4th. Hopefully Murray's injury was just a muscle cramp or something.

What a game. I know the Suns are a struggling team these days, but a win like this can't do anything but bolster our confidence and give us something to draw on.

Only watched the first half of this one but that was all I needed to see. That was a clinic. I know the Suns are bad but we straight up schooled them.

On a side note the Suns needs to do something fast. They need another veteran presence or they need to move on from Triano, I love the guy and firing two coaches in one season isn't a good look but I've seen a professional team just stop trying on defense so many times in a game and this isn't a one game instance either. They can't let these bad habits and attitudes develop in this group of young players.

Hope Murrays injury wasn't anything serious. He was straight up dicing the Suns up last night.

Damn shame too,

Guy was on pace for a huge night.. 14pts and 7 rebs in 13 minutes. He would of gotten nearly 20 boards, and likely scored in the low 30s.

I hope he's back after the all-star break.
