Every summer, Spurs guard DeMar DeRozan returns to his alma mater Compton High School, located in its namesake city in California, for offseason training. Four years ago, he decided he specifically wanted to improve his handles, and that’s when he contacted specialist coach Johnny Stephene.

All that work also improved DeRozan’s shooting and shot-creating abilities as it opened up new opportunities on the court. He has been working especially hard this summer because he is ready to take his game to another level with the Spurs and Gregg Popovich. Hey folks,

early check in, hows our boy Demar doing on both sides of the ball?

I knew he would be a top 5 SG in the league (Along with Klay, Butler, Harden, Oladipo) but I am pleasantly surprised by his ball distribution. It wouldn't be as needed if our PGs wouldn't fall like flies but he's been able to do it which allows the offense to flow.

I'm still shocked "experts" think a team which made the playoffs last year and adding an All-star aren't making the playoffs this year.

Demar has been great, can still pick some up on defence but that will come with learning the Spurs team defence.
