Playing around with downtime at work on the ESPN Trade Machine, I know the Spurs are doing solid but if we think we're going to lose Demar I'd rather trade him now then have him walk away. I'm also not opposed to re-signing him. But this interesting trade works (sorry not sure how to post a screen shot ) But this def just a Marvel What-If universe trade scenario;
Spurs Trade: DeRozan, Aldridge
Spurs Receive: B. Ingram, K. Oubre, J. Wiseman
Warriors Trade: K Oubre, J. Wiseman, A Wiggins
Warriors Receive: B. Beal, L. Aldridge
Wizards Trade: B. Beal, R. Westbrook
Wizards Receive: S. Adams, A Wiggins, E. Bledose
Pelicans Trade: B Ingram, E. Bledsoe, S. Adams
Pelicans Receive: R. Westbrook, D. DeRozan
The biggest loser is Wizards so they will need some draft pick compensation but they also unload from Westbrook's contract. Warriors win because they get the best player and the opportunity to run Curry, Beal, and Klay. Spurs get potential cornerstone players at Center and PF/SF all in the same time-line. Pelicans get away from Bledsoe and run a formidable trio of Zion, Westbrook, and DeRozan.
I'll see if I can come up with something better, Friday's are always slow at work lol

I've set myself to expect a buyout and no one coming back in return.
It's just so much easier that way!

I'm thinking the same thing.
Why would a team trade for him when they know he is going to be bought out? I would be shocked if he was traded for anything.
