Chase Center hosts many of the biggest concerts now, taking business away from other venues in the area.

Ballmer did the same, buying out the old Forum, which had been used as one of the biggest musical venues in Southern California. As owner of the Intuit Dome, he gets to keep all the revenues, not share it with the league as he has to with Clippers games.

Alamodome will also get updated as part of this entire project. Both Frost Bank and Alamodome host a variety of events outside of NBA, ie/the Rodeo above and Final Four at Alamodome in addition to concerts.

But I wonder if the Spurs get some of those non-NBA revenues, since they don't own Frost Bank and I don't know about the Alamodome.

Whereas if they're putting in more than half the cost of the new arena, I would imagine that they want at least some of the revenues, both NBA and non-NBA.

That is how teams can pay for luxury taxes, though now with the Second Apron, teams may force themselves to exercise discipline.
