Not convinced Dev and Barnes are long term 2 and 4 solutions. The latter is less surprising as he is older and on final contract year.

But with Castle and Dylan looking comfortably like they belong, Dev has to show he does, too, but is playing stiff like he is pushing it. Is leading candidate (along with Barnes?) for a long term 4 solution (Lauri?)

Up 69-66 at the half.

Mitch is running a tight 8-man rotation with 3 minutes going to Lindy.

The rest of the team is carrying Barnes (1-4) and Dev (2-8). Like I said, the 2 and 4 are in flux to be filled by long term solutions. The 2 we have in house.

We are shooting well as a team but have only put up 14 3s, making 8. They have made 13 s already, including that end of half heave to cut our lead in half.

12TOs and half of those by Wemby. Both have to be better. I think we will settle in once the starting 5 we have pencilled in is available but right now it looks like we have 4 of 5 starters there already. Fox is a difference maker.

Love the Luke Wemby tandem. Difference maker.

Get Keldon more shots and get Lindy to shoot 3s.

Dev has plateaued. Sorry to say. The dribble dribble pull back because he can't beat a defender is frustrating. He keeps the ball moving with passes back or to a C to get the ball back and reset but it's a time wasting habit.

Honestly, I would just like to sit and relax and watch some of the new guys play but Its just Champaigne dominating the ball and doing weak ass stuff all night, throwing up bricks plus not defending anyone. I've seen this circus too many times before.

Dev good cut and finish. This is a part of his game that can really grow. But he has to commit to a lot of running.

Really good work by the second unit. Fundamentals basketball with guys knowing their positions has value.

Ok I officially do not like Wemby getting cute with the ball. A behind the back pass attempt running into 2 defenders ain't it. Simplify. Even if pre-season is to get these out of his system.

4-0 WOOT!

It's easy to miss many of Wemby's great plays, that's many how he's packing in every game. You can tell he hates losing, and has less patience for **** play.

If Wemby can get the wizard attempts out of his system well that's what pre-season and accompanying TOs are for.

Freakish level of play and all around contribution.

Dylan flat out belongs.

Castle looked like he hasn't missed a beat, and his 3 looks good.

Maybe Barnes is conserving energy but he looks a step slower.

Dev. Mate. Can't keep doing same things same way. I like his off ball cutting when the awareness strikes but ball handling and running something is laborious, bogs down our O. When he is inefficient, it's not pretty to watch and he should let others shoot. In which case, it's an expensive commitment for what we are getting from him as we have guys who already can do that on rookie contracts.

Speaking of which, Dylan led us with 8 assists and provided 50% shooting. Smart, crafty, physical, poised, good synergy with Wemby. SO glad we kept this pick!

Barnes and Dev combined 1-9 from 3. Something to monitor. I trust Barnes' consistency from there because of his proven track record. But he's older and on the final year of his contract.

Wouldn't you know it, Dev and Barnes for Lauri works financially although we'd be at the first apron and have to make other roster moves.

Keldon is a lesson for Dev. I never thought he could be effective without the ball in his hands but look who quietly had another excellent perfect shooting game and tram high +20. Off ball, cutting, drives, 3s, getting to open spaces, and moving well on D. Just a smart, Swiss Army contributor who can bully through opponents or provide a soft rouch at the rim or now even make a skip pass showing improved recognition. He's got better habits.

So happy we signed Luke. He's huge for us, with Wemby and subbing in for him. In the latter we no longer have such a drop off at C. Perfect shooting. Perfect fit on and off the court.

Champie D is why his role has to be limited to key bench flamethrower of instant O. Luckily he shot well.

30 assists is terrific, 18 steals is excellent, 18TOs needs work.

We're building a special year. Team feels different. You can sense it.
