Challenges Champie for minutes/splits them for sure.

The competition is good for both. Love the contract for both though, too. Exactly the kinds we need, and now with more upper tier talent their minutes will be more appropriate.

McLaughlin, Lindy and DJG are solid Blake/Branham replacements, too (the latter is my version of your Champie, so perhaps there's some vicarious relief lol). Smart moves.

Oh wow,

I like Fox quite a bit, intrigued to see more of him -- but this feels like an overpay by 12-15 mil.. at least the Fox contract will be near its end when Wemby is going to get his second contract, Fox will be towards the end of his prime (at 31), likely either on his way out, or probably on a smaller deal if returning.

Edit: Fox is younger than I thought by around a couple years (thought he was going to be turning 29 or 30 soon).

Solid move though, in the sense that it provides high-level guard stability through Wemby's 1st career quarter, and while Harper/Castle come up to speed in their own roles.

No team discount unfortunately though in the mean time. Duncan/Parker/Ginobili, and Aldridge (maybe others too) did that well for this team, and it paid dividends for org. flexibility.
