2ND Q: SPURS 73
THUNDER 58
Just like we thought we ought to be up by 8 after the 1ST, they probably think they should be down 12 not 15 what with a 3 taken away from us then and given on that goaltending call. Watch them **** reverse that, too.
So I guess Lonnie's only consistent when he has the green light to take any bloody shot he wants at any time in the clock, eh? Good thing he's making them fairly consistently, because it mitigates the shot selection and quality in terms of too early and no one else touching the ball.
You can see how our opponent can put up points quickly and they won't be terrible for years. Might as well take full advantage of it now.
Josh has looked good. Took a confident 3, faked a 3 and drove assertively, switched on D well, and got a block along with a couple of assists in 6 minutes. He's bigger than I thought.
I like Keldon's driving and yelling lol The more physical we can be inside on them the better.
Jakob hopefully gets inside positioning (though they did a good job fronting Zach) or more easy lay ins at the rim.
LOVE Devin's throwback drives and classic finger roll finishes at the rim!
Primo has made some good switches and contests down low, but has also gotten caught stuck on the driver's hip to create body space and prevent a clean contest for the basket.
We've been chasing drivers over screens and have to anticipate the timing of these better to get around them. Doug got absolutely embarrassed on these a couple of times and while he was figuring out whether to go over or under to catch the shooter, the basket was made.
We already made 7-18 3s at the half which almost tied our 20 attempts from all of last game, so good that we're putting these up.
Four Spurs in double figures on 20 assists already. Good. Keep pushing at them.
