We tend to get caught on the strong side and not see the open weak side guy. Sochan with hands up, nobody near him, we take a contested J miss instead.

I like the idea of the pass inside to the big, but man he has one defender behind him and a floating help D defender leaking in front for a loop pass that keeps getting stolen.

We have to recognize the situation and adjust angles, how we pass it, etc.

I mean, we did have a shooting drill where you used one hand like that to help you square your elbow and wrist properly but you didn't do it in a game lol

You can feel the Pop tongue lashing ripping into the team for the soft, intermittent effort at half time.

Yeah, final form would be what you do in a game. He should do better doing it that way but for God's sake man, do it in practice or shoot around. Its not meant to be used in a game unless for some reason you make 95% of them that way

If the coaches told him to do it in the game I guess he has to but I don't agree with that at all. Its not helping him.

2ND Q: SPURS 46 PELICANS 65

We led much of the way throughout this Q but they caught us late and our effort has been rendered, not quite moot (well yes, in terms of result, same deficit), but we're making it difficult for ourselves when we run in place through mud style of play.

We're still allowing too many 3s - 8-18 and not doing well to make ours - 4-14.

What hurts a lot are three starters combining for - TWO **** POINTS!

Jakob: 0-3, no FTs, on ly 2 boards, 3 fouls.

Romeo: 0-0, 1 board, 2 assists

Devin: uncharacteristic struggle of 1-7, only 0-1 from 3 (both poor), 0-0FT, but starter high 6 boards, starter high 3 assists, starter high 2 steals.

Tre a solid 11 on 4-8, 103 from 3, but 0 assists, 1 board.

The lone bright spot is Sochan through whom we look to be operating on O to god effect. He's leading us with 15 on 4-6, 1-1 from 3, 6-9FTs on YES the one-handed technique which is already paying dividends. Terrific 5 boards (starter high 3 on O), and 3 assists.

12 TOs already. Oof. 9 assists. Oof.

Our issues are magnified with the bench struggling mightily, almost everyone except for JRich (7 points) and Malaki (5). The other four bench players combined for SIX points. OOF.

Just a forgettable half but for the Sochan growing game highlights. All effort, growing touch, willing to keep tring anything, good vision and passes.

Do everything better, Spurs, thanks!
