Everything they do is to set up their best players for 3s. We haven't used this lineup often and guys got mixed up about who to guard, where to switch. We got caught on a couple of 3s. Pop timeout.

Im still a tiny bit concerned about the Johnson Vassell thing from last year. They still dont seem to work together or feed off each other at all. When one touches the ball the other never sees it.

The other thing is Point Sochan. He needs to still grow into it IMO. I've witnessed the things you complained about him tonight and I think that might be partly because he is worried about the point thing. He seems to play much more free and aggressive when he is just counted on to play defense, rebound and score when the opportunity is there.

Otherwise I like what im seeing. Even Osman looks better.

2ND Q: SPURS 72 WARRIORS 63

The number we scored is great; the number we allowed is not.

The game's close shooting-wise except for the FT line: we are only 5-9 but are 13-16 against. Even though we are up on boards 24-20 and 10-5 on O boards, we've fouled them more on their board hustle at our end.

I did like the board hustle response better this Q.

Zach's a bull.

Dev shooting well. Keldon, too. I'd like to see more drives from both.

Sochan doing a bit of everything.

Wemby leads us with 15 at the half even though it's not a particularly efficient game. We've missed him with some post ups he worked to set up and some wonky alley oop throws, things we'll have to get better at. But it's certainly an impactful game on both ends. Crazy good.

I do like the shot distribution this game much better. And Pop's running a tight 10-man rotation so far with a Cedi, Doug, Bassey, Tre, Malaki bench.

We have to make sure our D switches are more sound and we both limit our fouling and get to the FT line more.

Keep up the hustle and team play.

Yep. Everyone can and has made a 3 from our starting 5.

Zach 3 followed by a baby right hook in the key. Nice body balance, footwork, and touch. He's looking afar more coordinated this season.

**** no help D again and we get beat by an O board putback again.

KELDON great switch, then Dev and Bassey track the ball handler and deflect. GREAT team D synergy and man D effort!

Yeah I see it. There's something about Keldon being in the lineup that just clogs us up.

Interesting that Pop replaced him with Tre and switched Sochan to the 3 at some point. He's the one I thought would be out from the previous starters, even though he was our leading scorer last season. It's a big adjustment from getting the ball so much to not being so ball dominant and doing far more work off ball on both ends.

We're getting badly out-efforted.

This is that waning in energy and focus and effort Pop talked about that we allow to happen when we get up a big lead. Part of the maturity our young group has to develop.

I just gotta say man did you make the right decision to jump ship to this franchise years ago Grey lol.

Wemby is just utterly ridiculous, legit GOAT potential if he can stay healthy. What an insanely fortunate franchise to have gone through the Admiral, 20+ years of TD and now Wemby...crazy how a non destination franchise will be a legendary one that can't be left out if you tell the story of the NBA. I'm legit jealous.

3RD Q: SPURS 98 WARRIORS 91

Maybe Malaki is green-lit to shoot the hell out of it but his decisions with the ball are poor. He sets up his own shot from a pass well enough, but his clock management led to two basket against, and his tunnel vision causes the rest of us to stand around and watch him. He's a terrific shooter, but has to grow BBIQ. A bit frustrating.

How does Doug miss those close to the basket? I get the left drive right hand finish is tough but like he missed the entire basket lol. Good contest on D.

Our cohesion and hustle in particular waned A LOT this Q. Have to ensure we don't have as much of a drop off.

Like Bassey's play on both ends. Traps and doubles well, trails well, nice floater touch, and O board timing.

Cedi's coming along well. Great touch, better movement.

Sochan shooting struggles stood out as something to settle into - good that he took and made another 3, but he has yet to develop a set, defining shot or two.

Bring up the effort and team play the last Q.

So the third group is mostly some combo of Dom, Julian, Sidy interspersed with regulars. So far it's been with Doug, Cedi, Tre, Bassey.

We haven't even played Graham, always good for some 3s and P&Rs.

Blake, mate, WTF is that PG decision making. Too much dribble, not enough penetration or generation of chances for others.

Sidy just does not shoot the ball. Like hardly ever.
