A bit surprising we didn't tender an offer to Mamu. He was solid in his minutes. Great passer, nice touch, can hit a 3.

Also a bit surprised we just let Romeo go. Perhaps we tried to get some assets for him and couldn't/ didn't like the offers?

I wonder if we still bring either or both back. We've been rumoured to be looking for a big. The guard spots are tight though and something had to give.

Awesome. Wright sounded thrilled he fell to us.

KBD signs with Phoenix. Great fit, happy for him, there was sort of writing on the wall feeling given his age and with Julian and Barlow being brought in and offered QOs.

Glad he got to showcase his game and that it landed him a solid spot. Best of luck to him.

With Tre re-signing for $20M/2yr contract, here's where things stand:

Vassell is going to cost pretty much 4 years/80 million. Its going to eat a lot of cap but that's the going rate and he's worth it.

If we could somehow get McDermott and Grahm off the books that would get us back to a healthy number for a FA but there isn't really anyone worth the money in FA this year.

I think it'll exceed the $80/4 - it's what Keldon got and Devin's our best two way player, so extra $$ for playing better D.

As far as moving contracts, Doug may be a great February trade deadline asset and Graham we have time as he has two years left.

The thing about the new CBA is that we *have to* spend a cap floor so it's no longer a matter of ridding contracts off the books for max cap space.

Congrats to Julian. Showed a maturity and poise last season to earn it:

While we wait... We were reportedly looking to shore up the 1 (in addition to Tre) and 5. Jakob's re-signed elsewhere, and there's Brook and Plumlee UFA.

We're rumoured to be part of a Strus S&T three-way trade that could swing Cedi our way. I was just looking up his contract yesterday recalling we had some interest in him last season or the year prior.

6'7", 230lbs, 28, shoots the 3 at a decent rate, good SF shore up...

I mean, I'm not saying I want it to happen. We're being used as leverage as a team with cap space and better assets.

But it's a reaction to getting mentioned more now as dark horses rather than just facilitators to grease the wheels of bigger deals for other teams. I wouldn't mind getting back some assets (picks) to help facilitate away lol

Apparently we re-signed Mamu but I don't know the terms because useless Twitter is useless.

Welcome back, Mamu!

While we await news of a Devin extension (yes there's plenty of time left for it but still) I'm musing about that 2018 draft. I wanted Bamba badly at the time and thought well Lonnie has the physical tools to really grow into something so let's see.

Fast forward and they're both awaiting/possibly sifting through offers after us rescinding a QO previously and not extending him while Bamba was released and is UFA.

Once again, physical tools are a big lure but not as big a part of the big picture story.

It also seems to be the case with Devin vs. Patrick Williams who I loved but has been underwhelming whereas Devin has taken a big leap and looks to do so again this season.

Fingers crossed we lock him up soon!

Updating about the trade here as well:

Haven't seen anything outgoing by us but assume one of the second round picks to the Cs and/or Mavs was from us. Otherwise we were compensated for using our cap space with Bullock and an *unprotected* swap?! It's still a good deal with the 2nd(s), all the moreso without it.

EDIT to add: per nba.com we did not send any 2nds away. They were sent between the other two teams. So an even better deal wow. Well done, Brian Wright!
