Nando De Colo

Post#1 » by Frankie23 » Mon Jun 7, 2010 3:41 pm

What about him?

He averaged 13,7 points, 2,9 rebounds y 2,6 assists in his first year in acb league.
He has 2 more years contract and I don't know if there is an NBA clause..

Seems like a good prospect for the spurs. He's 6-5 ft and could be an excelent player to play with 2 PG, with him defending the SG..Though i don't know about his defensive skills..

Didn't we draft him last year or the year before? I can't remember but I think it was using a late second round pick or something. If i remember, they say he's got a really short wingspan despite being 6'5'' PG and really has no athleticism. I really don't remember reading anything good about him at all and there's not much info on him either.

Honestly, I don't mind if he comes but I think he's an 11th/12th/inactive list player. I won't expect him to get in the rotation at all.

Yes, he was drafted last year in the second round. He was playing in France by that time (He won the MVP award there), but this year he moved to acb league and did it pretty well.
Look at his stats:
2009/2010 in Valencia (Oberto played in this team):
ACB:
33 games; 25,5 min; 13,2pts; 2p 50%; 3p 38,7%; FT 91,5%; 2,8reb; 2,3asst; 1,2st; 0,2 TO.
Eurocup:
16 games; 29,5 min; 14,1pts; 2p 45,7%; 3p 44,2%; FT 80,9%; 4,2reb; 2,4asst; 1,3st; 2,5 TO.

Here are some youtube videos of him (like any other youtube mix, he seems like MJ, but you can notice he has some skills though):

I read an article were RC Buford was talking about him, telling that they were following his evolution. Don't think he will come to SAS now, but, If Tony Parker is traded maybe things gets faster for him..

He is a good shooter with ball-handling skills, he is not very athletic but he is not slow and he can get into the lane easily with good footwork and good fakes. He might not be ready for the NBA physically but playing a major role in the acb can't hurt him...

Hi, French Natioal Team fan here. Maybe you don't remember but Nando have been drafted by you last year

BTW, he'll be the starting point guard of our team during this World Championship, and our offensive leader with Batum and Diaw.

He had a great season in spain, he's one of the best PG in this league, and have the potential to be one of the best in Europe. The main problem is his athleticsm, he's not TP, he doesn't touch the sky, but he's not slow!!!

In Europe, at the start he was a SG but now he's a PG, he upgrades his court vision and how to set plays for teammates, but he's still a fantastic scorer and a incredible shooter.

I think you guys, have to keep an eye on what he'll do this summer!

I can't see him being a difference maker in the NBA.

He is a second round project. If he ever makes our roster its a bonus.
