Ive been hearing lots of rumors that Parker is interested with the KNicks the past 2 days.
I don't believe Parker will be going anywhere but it doesnt make sense parker would jump ship just to play with amare and that system. How can he play for D-antoni and amare if he knows that system doesnt even guarantee a conference title? SA demolished amare and D-antoni teams.

I wouldn't read too much into it. Amare probably claims to be a good defensive player as well. Doesn't make it so.

Re: WT: Amar'e Claims Carmelo, Parker Will Join Him With Knicks
From Tony's side, I can understand why he won't mind moving on.
If i'm in Tony's shoes, He'll probably feel like he can do so much more offensively especially if allowed to just run and create like Nash did. He'll get to do that in NY with Mike. Winning probably won't be as much importance anymore because he'll assume if he joins NY with some other FA, in this case Melo and Amare, that he'll still be on a winning team. Parker also mentioned something about he's been here 9 years or something and that he can still have 9 more years and that's enough for another career. I read that somewhere but don't bother looking for one. I think right now, signs are pointing toward Parker maybe looking to go elsewhere once his contract is up and there is a possibility that he leaves the Spurs just like that.
But at the same time, I think it's immature for Stoudamire to think that Parker and Melo will just join him if he came to NY. First of all, Melo and Parker aren't FAs. They can't just join him because Stoudamire is there. The teams they play for must trade them to the Knicks. You're telling me that NY right now has the pieces needed to land Parker and Melo? I don't think so. You gut that whole team up and give up the team's next 5 draft picks and they still won't have enough to land both players.
What do they think? That the Spurs are just gonna give up Parker for Trade Exception? No. Unless Buford is Marc, the Spurs poster. Other than that I don't think anyone gives Parker up for Trade Exception even if it's with Chandler or Douglas included. This year will be our last run. Unless we trade Parker for another star instead of role players, then we're not likely to be a better team than last year.

Ny fan here..
Parker is a very good PG, no doubt. What I have read is a 3 way deal sending Jefferson to the Spurs (to give Duncan some real help), Lee to Minny, and Parker to the Knicks, adding any pieces that have to be added to make it work. I have no idea how Spurs fans feel but if Parker plans on bolting next year, it doesn't appear to be a bad deal.....IF you have a PG ready to step up?

The Knicks don't have the assets to get both Tony and Melo thats all there is too it. We don't need to trade Tony, i'm perfectly happy with keeping him around and i'm sure the front office feels the same way. So the only way your going to get him from us is if you give us a package thats going to make us a better team. We don't want future picks or overseas prospects, we want assets that will help us win next year and the Knicks just don't have those assets.

Problem is, the "star" pieces that we can get for Parker in your scenario is Al Jefferson from Minnesota.
Now, unless negotiations with Splitter falls apart, that might be possible. Otherwise, we'd have Duncan and Jefferson making huge dollars. And then Splitter, Dice, and Blair? That's loaded at Frontcourt while what? We have no SF, one PG, Manu and a rookie SG?

Like the 3 way option. D Lee would be awesome next to Duncan. With that said I am a knicks fan hoping that if no lebron, than we get parker.

Lee would be a terrible fit next to Duncan. We need a center to pair with Duncan and Splitter is going to be that guy.

If I was Tony i would leave. Duncan is on the Decline. Why not play with a younger PF in Amare. And a all star in Carmelo. Plus Gallo? Who on this roster can even compete with that?

No LeBron, No Parker for Knicks.
Lee is overrated. He won't be the player everyone thought he will be when he's out of NYK.

The Nuggets will pay him the MAX, I can't see him leaving Denver even for NY.
