It's another day which means another Tony Parker to the New York Knicks trade rumor.

According to the New York Post, the Knicks are still pursuing San Antonio Spurs' guard, Tony Parker:

A source told The Post on Dec. 15, when trades are permitted for free-agent signees and draft picks, the Knicks will try to put together a package for either free-agent-to-be Tony Parker or Paul.

Raymond Felton, the Knicks' new point guard acquired last week from Charlotte, will be eligible to be traded in December and if the Spurs or ailing Hornets like him, perhaps either point guard could be had, giving Felton a short Knick run. A Felton/Wilson Chandler package would not be out of the question for at least Parker.

Parker will be a free-agent after this upcoming NBA season.

Though not as quick as Parker, Felton is an underrated point-guard and for his career has averages of 13.3 points, 6.4 assists and 41% shooting from the field.

Chandler's career stats are 13.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and is 45% shooting from the floor.

I would do if we also sent Bonner and New York also sent back Gallinari (6-10 who doesnt suck) also i would not want to trade Paker to New York if we do not get Gallinari.

so we send Bonner (really just send him, for printer paper even just send him) and Paker and we will get back Felton (i agree he is a solid PG) W. Chandler SF (a need) and Gallinari and starting SF with range.

BOOM i am happy with the team again....

Would DEFINITELY have to include Bonner. We are already pretty loaded for bigs. Don't need 11 bigs and Felton.

Knicks fan here - It doesn't make sense for us to do this because Tony Parker will more than likely become a free agent next year (meaning he won't sign an extension) because he wants a lot of money, so why would we trade valuable assets for him when we can get him for nothing next season. He's also a guy who has a lot of miles on his body and gets injured quite frequently and I don't see how he can fit in Mike D'antoni's system since he's not a good 3pt shooter.

Personally I think these rumors are BS, I don't think we're even interested in Parker. I think Chris Paul is a much better fit but we'll see what happens.

Prob BS. But it does make SOME sense for the knicks, because to consumate such a deal Parker would have to sign an extension. That's a given.
An extension prob keeps the price more manageable than Parker hitting the open market. esp if he does like a lot of guys do in contract years and have their best season

Parker can be murder in open court as Dantoni witnessed up close in person. He has heart and he's a leader ...of course Paul would be a better option but Parker puts up career numbers in the garden.

so yes you're right Parker isn't point guard plan A.
but depending on how things go it may be doable.
Or Felton could blow up.

Without RJefferson would could need this trade.
I'm not sure if I'd do it until december comes and we see where we are.

I can understand why NY wants Parker and why Parker might be interested in playing in NY under D'Antoni's offense.

Problem is, NY will have max space next year. It really doesn't make much sense that they'll give up anything close to equal value to acquire him especially if Parker makes it public that he'd like to play in NY.

At this point, I think any Parker trade will not net us equal value because he is a FA. No team is gonna risk giving up equal value with the possibility that Parker is a one year rental.

As a Laker fan if the Spurs would ahve done this I would've been pissed to hell and back, bad trade for the Spurs

how much money are the spurs willing to give Tony Parker after this season? The knicks would offer him about 16 million per year/5 years. Would the spurs try to outbid the Knicks in that situation? i know George Hill is a nice young player too so maybe they would just let Tony walk and save themselves money?

Amare said he is already talking to Melo and Parker about playing in New York together. The knicks would have to trade felton for cap-space and Turiaf would have to opt out to get both Melo and Parker.

Really Chandler and Gallo/Randolph for Parker?? Is this some joke? Why would the Knicks do that
