Your thoughts on Keith Bogans?
We (Chicago) just signed Keith Bogans. The out-pouring of grief on our board has been ridiculous. Judging by some of the comments, you'd think the Dynasty just broke up again. In my opinion, signing an 11th man to the veterans minimum is not the worst thing to ever happened. I noticed Bogans started 50 games for you last year. Starting on a team as consistently good as the Spurs has to be saying something, right? What are your thoughts on Bogans? Any input/opinions would be appreciated.

Re: Your thoughts on Keith Bogans?
He's a good defender and as everyone knows Pops loves guys who play defense, thats why Bogans started so many games for us. Offensively he's a decent outside shooter but nothing special and other than his shooting he really can't do much. He can't shoot off the dribble, he can't dribble and he's a not a great passer. So essentially he's a good defender who's a very limited offensive player.
Quinton Ross and Trenton Hassel are two guys i'd compare him too although I think Bogans has better range.

Re: Your thoughts on Keith Bogans?
Bogans is a strong guy defensively. I think when he was in the starting lineup, he was was playing that Bruce Bowen role and the one thing that's noticeable is that he's stronger, but shorter and isn't as quick. At this point, he's better at guarding SFs (tougher and bigger) than SGs (quick). Problem is, he's only 6'5'', which is short for a SF. Ofcourse if Chicago is counting on him to play big minutes, then it's a huge problem. But even in case of injuries, I think you'll see Bogans as a 15 minute backup guy and IMO he's decent/solid at that. I think it's a good signing for Chicago. Honestly, at this point, I was hoping we got him back to play backup SF because we still need to find that guy and I thought Bogans did well for us last year even thou we kinda overplayed him.
