Your opinion Keith Bogans?

Post#1 » by SpinninHouse » Mon Oct 25, 2010 8:03 pm

Bulls fan here looking for your thoughts on Bogans. He was recently announced the opening day starter over Ronnie Brewer. Brewer is coming back from a hamstring injury and isn't back in form yet. I know Bogans started 50+ games for you last year. What are your thoughts on him? Will he consistently hit open threes? In pre-season he appeared to have a decent two way game. Nothing spectacular but decent. Just seeing what we can expect from him early on.

Solid gritty defender, can knock down open shots and he plays hard every game.

Agreed. He didn't fit so well into our system, but he definitely played a gritty season that went mostly unnoticed by Spurs fan.

I was never a fan of his, but his game didn't really make for compelling viewing. To be fair though, he did work his ass off and was a tough defender.

I think it's because of Thibedeau's (sp?) influence that Bogans is getting the starting gig. Thib is obviously defensive minded and Bogans is an ideal player for what he's trying to do.

Wow thanks for the feedback. It's encouraging to hear. We've had a pretty rough few weeks with the Boozer injury so any glimmer of hope is good.

I'm looking forward to watching you guys play. I've long thought that Booz was pretty underrated, especially on RGM.

Korver was a good pickup as well.

Good luck for the season.

When you're starting Bogans, you're in pretty bad shape from a depth perspective. IMO, his defense is a bit overrated and he does not bring a whole lot to the team to merit starting.
