Starting Lineups:

Spurs:
PG - Tony Parker
SG - Manu Ginobli
SF Richard Jefferson
PF Tim Duncan
C Dejuan Blair

Clippers:
PG - Baron Davis
SG - Eric Gordon
SF - Ryan Gomes
PF - Blake Griffin
C - Chris Kaman

It our first game on the road and its going to be against a team that we've beaten 16 times in a row. But its going to be a tough game, the Clippers are a very strong interior team and so far we've been pretty weak inside. Splitter is going to play but i'm guessing he'll play limited minutes.

Go Spurs!!

First look at Splitter, and a chance to see Blake Griffin as well. Should be a good game.

First game for Splitter, I hope he just does decently for his first game. I'm not expecting anything dominant. I even expect him to get less than 20 minutes. I just hope he shows something good whether it's the low post scoring or the interior defense.

As far as the game, Clippers played last night losing to Dallas at home. We are again facing a team on the 2nd night of back to back. I hope we have more energy than last game. Thing is Clippers already lost their first 2 home games, will they lose 3 in a row at home? Should be a good game and since we lost last night, I'm hoping we come out tomorrow with better energy, defense, and execution. I'm still waiting for Blair's breakout game. And I really hope the big 3 show up.

I have high hopes for Splitter too. I hope he and Duncan can form a terrific defensive duo. We have so much offensive talent now it's not necessary for Duncan to score a lot of points. I would much rather have him expend nearly all his energy on the defensive side and let Manu, Parker, Jefferson, and Hill run the offense. Let's go Spurs!

I can't wait to see both Splitter and Griffin. I should lower my expectations of Splitter...

Let's go Spurs! I'd be disappointed if we talk about starting strong and then falling again to a Baron-less Clippers.

Pop replaced Blair with Splitter pretty quickly... Not a good start for Splitter thou. First he couldn't secure a rebound and went out of bounds. Then Griffin was put on ISO, face up, and blew by him.

I can't watch the game tonight. Hows the rest of the team looking??

First quarter ended. Splitter played like 5 minutes and didn't show much. He got his hands on 2 rebounds that he couldn't secure. Both went out of bounds. Got scored on Blake Griffin. Looks tentative offensively unsure on what to do.

Blair continues to disappoint. Gary Neal looks good again. Made a 3 pointer and a floater. James Anderson made a corner 3. game tied at 26 first quarter.

Damn... Gary Neal.. Opened the 2nd quarter with a 3 pointer. And then just now a pull up jumper. I believe he got 10 points in like 8 minutes right now. Neal definitely has earned every minute he's getting. Craig Smith made a stupid foul to George Hill in a breakaway dunk. Hill is hurt right now and possibly strained his shoulders or whatever. His shoulder is what the trainers are massaging. He should return to the game.

Eric Gordon and Blake Griffin is killing us. We can't stop Griffin from scoring on ISOs. And Eric Gordon is making everything. He gets to the lane and has like 3 dunks now.. made 3 pointers. even midrange shots. Damn...

50-44 Spurs at halftime.

So far, problem remains the same again. We can't stop people. Perimeter scorers are having a field day with us. Teams are just shooting really really well againts us. Clippers is at 50% right now. I believe Indiana and New Orleans was over 50% also. Shotblocking again is nonexistent on this team. We got no one who alters shots especially if they're athletic and knows guys like Duncan etc can't get to it. Duncan another off night and we're not getting contributions from the bigs. McDyess is probably our best big right now considering we expect nothing out of him and he atleast contributes something... Blair disappointing. Splitter hasn't shown anything yet. Duncan has 1 good game, and right now is looking like 2 bad games.

Blair isn't effective with Duncan on the floor...

I'm sure I'm on the minority, but I'm liking Richard Jefferson. He's aggresive and he's knocking down his shots. He's not a defensive stopper alright, but he's not a blackhole out there defensively like some are saying. I really like how he looks for contacts on drives instead of turning and twisting to avoid the contact like Parker and Manu. RJ looks for contact. Duncan is coming alive.

Something is weird with Parker. that's twice in this game where he got on a one on one fast break basically but looks like he jogged for a layup instead of sprinting. Defenders got back to defend that play. It's like he got no speed on his legs.

Yeah, I think Blair is strictly a rebounder right now. With the starting unit, he's out there guarding the opponent's best post player and he can't do that. He doesn't provide length, shotblocking, interior defense... Just rebounding and with Duncan, his rebounding doesn't shine like last year. Duncan takes rebounds away from him.

I'm loving RJ's play so far as well. He's been aggressive offensively, he's finally figuring it out.

TP's lost a step, or he's carrying a minor injury. Or it could just be rust and he'll play himself into better shape. He's never going to be as quick as he was when he was 19. But his teardrop is still money.

Manu is playing fantastic ball thus far.

Blair I'm not so impressed with. I don't really like him in the starting lineup.

Splitter was fairly quiet in his debut, he got one nice dunk off a Ginobili dish and that was about it.

Eric Gordon is a great great player. Those two dunks he threw down were awesome. Griffin is a beast.

Blake Griffin is a beast, Kaman an all star player, Eric Gordon is a great great player, Baron Davis a talented player, Butler hit the 3 at will, Aminu was the 8th pick, Jordan is really athletic, bla bla bla..
They are 0-4. Something is not right..

If Neil, Anderson and Jefferson keep playing this way, we are going to be deeeeep.. I expect DeJuan and Hill to get their game on again.

Splitter!!

I hope George Hill's shoulder is alright, what happened last night reminded me of an injury Dwyane Wade got after he was hit in the air by a defender (maybe it was Battier, I'm not sure) and tore his shoulder labrum.

Jefferson was excellent last night and was good in the previous games as well, if only he can keep it... Neal was fantastic, and James Anderson is probably the least talked-about rookie but he looks awesome.

As for the Clippers problems, there are too much of them. Still, Blake Griffin is really not looking like a rookie but like a star already, compared to all other rookies, and Eric Gordon's second dunk was unbelievable. BTW, it was nice to see Eric Bledsoe play well, he has a big future, possibly as a starting PG.

RJ's making me eat some serious crow with his play so far. That extension isn't looking that bad so right now.
