According to Draftexpress we're going to sign him to a 10 day contract. I was just about to make a thread discussing potential D-league call ups too.

All I know about him is that he's a 28 year 6'7 old combo forward who was playing for the Tulsa 66ers. His stats aren't overwhelming or impressive by any means.

Anybody know anything about him?

Here's an article from May 2010 about him. Nice read.

Where does he fit in in terms of getting significant PT? Spot minutes when we're blowing teams out?

At this point of the season, I really doubt we're going to bring in someone so unproven and give him significant playing time unless it's blowouts.

Really good read. Hopefully he can bring some of those intangibles to our team.

Unless we blow out the Mav's and/or the Nuggets I can't see him getting any minutes until the Toronto game on the 19th.

I wonder how much cash the Spurs are saving by constantly signing players to 10 day contracts.

I don't know anything about the kid. haha and when I say kid I know the dude is 28.

The D league is there for a reason. I hope the Spurs find a real gem and the rest of the league takes notice.

Well Pop's has given him some limited minutes so far and Pops talks pretty highly of him so maybe we'll see him get a 2nd 10 day.

I guess Owens did enough to impress Pops and management because he got his 2nd 10-day from us today.
