For his career hes a 12 and 9 guy shooting 40% from 3pt and hes a big body. With Anderson coming back to help at the 2 and 3 pos could we find a spot for Murphy Im not sure but he would be a great addition to our 2nd unit I know Im always saying we need a big well to be honest this would be our best shot. Now I know hes no shot blocker but he would give us a good front court rotation. I also see J Williams was released good vet for a team I hope he finds a home Ive always liked his game.

If we lose Matt Bonner for another extended period then Troy should be signed.

If he can't really play in a team like the Nets to earn a good contract, how can we rely on this guy??

If you look at his height and 3p%, you would easily say: Let's sign him!! But, why didn't he had any success in the past?? Something must be wrong.. Defense? Work ethic? Being soft? not consistent? IDK..

Who really wants to play for the nets? In GS and IND he has good stats we would just need the guy to play in spells where we need size or if Bonner is out.

What makes a pro, a great pro, is the willing to play the game no matter where. He was in his contract year and he played terrible.
GS and IND weren't that good anyways.

Can he play defense?

Nope. I really have no interest in Murphy, we don't need another PF. If we need anything its a dude that can bang and play defense in the post.

Have you seen Scola's game last night??

He's playing on a loosing team and the guy husttle in every play, every game. And he's just signed a 5-years guaranteed contract.. Troy Murphy is just the opposite.

It's not Troy, it's the nets. They won't play him much.

Yep, Troy can't play D. They need Dalembert who might still want a buyout of his contract though he has been getting alot of minutes lately.

No, no, it was Troy. The dude played like hot trash when he was out on the court. Couldn't defend, couldn't shoot, couldn't pass, barely had any effort, that's why the Nets pulled the plug. Could it have been that he was still injured from his back and he didn't tell anyone about it? Maybe, but that's doubtful.

I say no to Murphy. He is soft, plays zero defense and is sooo overrated. I think we are better with who we have + a D-League scrub at the 13th spot than with Murphy and trying to find minutes for him.

I agree now but I still think we need a big.

In 30 minutes last nite due to Cousin's suspension, Dalembert scores 18pts, grabs 15 boards, and 3 block shots. Not bad.

I'd love to get him but i'm not sure how we could do it.

I'm also interested in Ben Wallace, cheap contract, he'll fit in with our veteran core and he's a great lost post defender and rebounder.

Pray that he gets a buyout. About 3 weeks ago, he was complaining about not getting enough minutes as Cousins and Thompson were getting the bulk of the minutes at C. His agent was talking about a buyout if he wasn't in the Kings future for minutes played. Now that Cousins has been getting his minutes limited for whatever reason, the reports of a buyout have died down. In all likelihood, he will most likely get traded instead of bought out now. The Kings are really deep at the Center position. They have like 4 bigs.

Is Wallace still a great low post defender and rebounder though? He is kinda old now right? Haven't followed him in a few years.

He's fallen off a bit, his shot blocking isn't what it used to be but he's still one of the better low post defenders in the league. I don't think he could play big minutes for us, but he could give us a solid 10-15 minutes a game and he'd be a great guy to have for some of the bigger front courts in the league.

If Daly gets bought out i'd love to see him come here, but I think its much more likely that the Kings will deal him since he's still got quite a bit of valve. I loved to see him come here as a free agent in the summer though.

I don't think anybody we get will get playing time. Our team and rotation is set now.

Spurs are my second favorite team because of TD.

Duncan and Murphy would be another great duo. Troy on his worst day, looks alot better than Naz and Raso and remember how great Naz and Raso looked when they played beside Duncan.
