The NBA announced the teams for the 2011 Rookie Challenge.

John Wall will be joined on the Rookie squad by Clippers forward Blake Griffin, Clippers guard Eric Bledsoe, Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins, New Jersey Nets forward Derrick Favors, New York Knicks guard Landry Fields, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Wesley Johnson, Detroit Pistons center Greg Monroe, and San Antonio Spurs guard Gary Neal.

They will oppose the NBA’s Sophomore class of Sacramento Kings guard Tyreke Evans, San Antonio Spurs center DeJuan Blair, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls forward Taj Gibson, Philadelphia 76ers guard Jrue Holiday, Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Serge Ibaka, Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings, and Portland Trail Blazers guard Wesley Matthews.

Congrats to both guys, they both deserve to be there.

On a side note I think the rookies actually have a shot at winning this year. Wall and Griffin are going to be a lethal combo.

Yeah I reckon this will be a Rookie year again, they are just too damn good on the frontline and will dominate the smaller Sophmore forwards.

Blair was always a lock, being the starting center on the best team in basketball, but I am so happy for Gary Neal to make the team, it shows that talent is better than name at least in some aspects of global sports.

But Blake got chosen for the ASG, I'm guessing that means he's off the rookie squad right?

Without Blake, Sophomores win the challange.
