Trade for a Warrior?

Post#1 » by dukeknicksirish » Mon May 2, 2011 8:12 pm

Why not trade for either Monta Ellis or Stephen Curry to rebuild this team back up?? The Warriors need size and experience for the playoffs...(well to make the playoffs) why not trade Tony Parker there?
Its obvious that George Hill is Pop's boy... the spurs need youth to re-energiz the team.. also with the departure of McDyss @ Center, they will ned somebody to help out Tim and Blair isn't the option...

Tony Parker+Blair
For
Monta + Andris(center)
Or
Stephen+Epke+Andris....

What do u think?

I don't like any trade that moves Tony Parker.

I'd take Curry for Parker in a heartbeat.

Parker + Splitter for Curry + Andris Biedrins would be perfect. The only reason I put Splitter in there is so the Warriors still have a center on their roster.

I know Andris Biedrins has been horrible for the past two years but i'd be willing to take him on if ment we got Curry as well. Steph is going to be stud in this league.

Biedrins issue is all mental, he's lacking confidence. He's definitely got the talent to be a solid double-double guy again, no doubt in my mind. I'd pull the trigger on that trade in a heartbeat.

Monta + Curry are both quite a bit younger than Parker...who's soon to be expired. As for Biedrins and Udoh, GSW would like to ADD a good center, not get rid of any they have.

Obviously, any plan that makes the Spurs younger, extends their window,is contrary to the aims of a team like GSW. The young teams that have not been contenders have been waiting for the Spurs,Mavs,Lakers,to get old.

I think you need to bring a 3rd team in. If the Warriors are trading One of Curry or Ellis, I doubt they want a point guard (parker) in return. There are teams out there that want Parker, I would seriously push for New York to get involved. I haven't checked this salary cap wise, but just an example of a trade to play with:

Spurs get:
Ellis
Biedrins

Knicks get:
Parker
McDyess' contract

Warriors get:
Billups (expirer)
Splitter
Bill Walker
1st Round Pick from New York

YES I would love this for the Knicks. Parker is actually capble of penetrating on a pick and roll. It would fix all the offensive issues the knicks have.

They can't trade their first round pick though because they already traded the 2012 pick. You can't go two consecutive years without a first round pick. The Knicks would have to draft a player and trade that player that was drafted

I don't see the point of involving the Knicks it only makes the deal worse for Golden State.
