Parker on the block?

Wiretap reports we are dangling Parker in the hopes of securing a lottery pick.
A trade with sac town and a deal with Denver involving Felton was mentioned.
I think this is a positive move from the FO. Parker was waved the white flag and if we can trade him and the pick turns into a good one we can still remain relevant in the west and secure a young player to help the inevitable rebuild. With this draft lacking in star potential I can see a couple of teams being interested in TP

A high draft pick in just about any other year would make me happy, but in this draft? Not so much. Who are we looking at pick 5 for example? Fredette?

I'm with DK, if we trade TP we need to get a package in return, not just the draft pick. Although I'd be tempted if we managed to be in a position to get an impact big man (e.g. Kanter?), but i doubt we manage to get that far up the draft order..

Why don't the Spurs trade Tony Parker for Josh Smith? Spurs need a more athletic SF/PF, Hawks need a PG. Seems like a fair deal for both sides. Better than taking a risk on a middle tier lottery pick. Is Tony even still signed with the Spurs or is he a free agent right now?

I thinks is Kemba not Jimmer.... I like the trade with the kings 7 pick + Casspi + Thompson

Sounds like we're targeting Jonas Valanciunas, with the news about his buyout coming out his stock has been dropping. So the timing of all of this makes a lot of sense.
From everything i've read and heard it sounds like RC wants to do a deal with the Kings revolving around Casspi + the 7th pick for TP and RJ. We're going to have to take back a few pieces possibly Beno and or/Garcia to make it work though.
I'm loving the idea of this deal already, we don't lose much (Hill can replace TP) and we move into the lottery. I'd love to get Valanciunas too, he might be coming over right away but the kids got a ton of potential and could be the future of this team.

doubt you guys get JT in any deal with the 7th and casspi....it would most likely just be casspi + 7th, with the possibility of adding in cisco or beno....whats jeffersons contract look like?

Why are you guys excited about the possible of drafting JV? Isn't Splitter the same thing with more experience?

Kings fan here. I would love for this to go down TP + RJ for 7th + Garcia(or Beno) + Caspi. It would have to be reworked if you guys really hate getting back Garcia or Beno, since way to much salary comes along. I am sure if we see a Euro name get called for the 7th the trade happened

.

Hoopsworld reports that the Blazers and Spurs nearly completed a deal of Parker and #29 for Miller, Batum and #21 earlier this afternoon, but the Spurs insisted on Jefferson being involved and Portland balked. Talks have died but may be revisited on draft day if either side has a change of heart.

The salaries in that deal aren't even remotely close to working.
Parker is nice, but he isn't good enough for the Blazers to be willing to take on Jefferson's albatross of a contract.

TP + 29 + Blair

Oden + Batum + 21 + Miller

It does if you throw in Camby.

Which basically equates to Parker/Blair for Batum/Miller, cause Oden is done and the picks are redundant. No thanks.

I have absolutely no faith in hoopsworld. 99% of their stuff is made up.

George Hill is traded for Kawhi Leonard.

Bunch of PGs left in the draft. I think the Spurs might go with a PG now with the 29th pick. With the Hill trade, we have no backup PG.

Stupid move IMO. Hill is a talented player and good for this team. Hopefully there are more moves in mind that might make sense of this one.
