Andrea Bargnani & Dorsey? Clearly he has some attitude issues and struggles as a 1st option but wouldn't he be a good fit for Duncan? He could provide what Bonner does, with better defense and more height and shotblocking in the lane + some more scoring 1on1. If pop would get to his head this, guy could maybe even rebound
Dorsey would be threw in to somehow fill the hole that Blair would leave
But with McDyess probably retiring spurs will probably need to add a veteran back up PF in his place.
Theoretical question, as im bored with the lockout thing looming in

it would look like;
TP
Manu
MLE or Leonard if he's good
Bargs / veteran PF / Bonner&Dorsey
TD / Tiago

Oh god no.
Andrea would be a horrible fit next to Duncan and Pops would destroy him.

What about Austin Daye, and Jason Maxiell for Kawai Leonard?

Why would we trade Leonard before he's even played a single game for us?

i thought SA was looking for scoring and length. both of which daye bring. additionally maxiell is a good defensive Pf/C with a 15ft jump shot.
Kawai is a athletic freak with no offensive game. Suppose to be a defensive beast at the 3. Which is what detroit is looking for.
Proven Scoring and Role player for unproven defensive and athleticism?

No we're not, we already a great scoring team our troubles are on the defensive end. We're going to hold onto to Leonard he's exactly what we need at the 3.

alright how about this
RJ+Blair for CV+Bynum?
CV is still a offensive beast, however he hasn't played up to his contract. Det hasn't been the best place to play , but CV has shown flashes of what he could do. Defensively he's a liability, however joining pops system would help that. CV has shown he can play defense if he puts in the effort.
Bynum is a great backup PG who can also be a starter. He gets a little trigger happy at times but plays the same style as TP but doesn't have quite the range. He'll provide huge amount of energy of the bench.
*trade thread, they said blair was up for grabs

huh RJ and Blair are clearly better than Bynum and CV
also that trae would make no sense for Detroit to stack SF even more

Aside from Monroe, there's no one on Detroit's roster that I'd be remotely interested in trading for...

Monroe is out of reach for Spurs, defense and 3 and 4 could be good for spurs but Josh Smith is out of reach too, unless it would be a Parker deal
any good defensive forwards you have though about? Nice that Leonard is there, Tiago has tools to be at least poor mans Varejao so some kind of defensive power forward could be useful to fill in the picture. WHo you think is coming in McDyess place?

Well Battier would be nice, he's a bit old but he can still play some D and hit the corner 3.
I don't think anyone is replacing Dice as such, I think Splitter and Blair/TD/Bonner will take those available minutes.

i guess i'm underrating RJ. He didn't seem like a good fit with you guys, and was inconsistant. and on the trading board it seemed you guys were looking for a scoring PF. so in my head i had RJ=CV, since CV is pretty much the same for us.
As for Blair, he clearly is better than Bynum, but they both play the back up roles. Bynum is a great back up pg, and blair is a great backup PF. In my head it was trading positions of need.
We have daye and singler at SF with rip playing there occasionally. RJ would be welcomed. SG is where we have the overload.
You guys might want to look at wilcox, he's a great back up , tough inside and gets his hustle points. He's also a cheap FA, Battier also is nice, but i think he'll go to Dallas since you guys already have RJ

As Nolan said, we definitely don't need scoring, not as much as we need a big that can defend the post and grab rebounds. Our bigs are either not big enough/camp out on the perimeter/too soft/too old to be effective in that area.
I don't see how Wilcox or Villanueva address any of our teams needs.

^Wilcox is pretty much there to get rebounds and defend and get hustle points. He also is really cheap.
Another player you might want to look at is Tyrus Thomas, but besides Blair i don't you guys have anyone they'd want

Yeah... I can't see Barney being a good fit hit... he is just a better Matt Bonner and he isn't what we need. We need a badass mofo... and I don't think Barney has ever been called that in his entire NBA career even for one game.

Detroits got Singler and Daye at SF. and they're both developing. we'd be willing to let them split minutes with RJ. CV does give you a scoring upgrade over blair, but Blair's hustle might make up for that. Bynum=blair, except for size
