Robert Horry's 2005 Championship Ring (Auction)

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Sun Jul 24, 2011 2:03 pm

I thought some of you may be curious to know what it ends up going for or maybe one of you collect memorabilia. Player rings in most cases hold more value. If this ring was a trainers or a regular worker it would go for much less. This ring is up to $6,665 and the auction ends August 12th. You can see pictures of the ring by clicking the link below.

The 2005 NBA Finals featured a matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and the Detroit Pistons, the reigning NBA Champions. Detroit’s roster featured the same core of players that helped them win the title over the Lakers in the previous season. The Spurs’ roster featured “The Big Three” of Duncan, Ginóbili and Parker as well as Robert Horry, a 5-time NBA Champion prior to joining San Antonio before the 2003 season. http://catalog.greyflannelauctions.com/ ... nship-Ring

Yeah i wish I had a cool 10 mil lying around just incase a Championship ring became available lol.
Man i miss Horry, that game 5 is still one of my favourite games I've ever seen.
I remember I was at school and we left class to watch the play by play on the computers. Went crazy when the screen said Horry - 3pt Shot Made.
Made sure i recorded the game too, ah memories...

Already doubled in price, now sitting at ~$13,000.

I was going to take a shot and see if it stayed under $7500 and make a last minute $8000 bid, but that's not going to happen so... :(

Depends on the team I think...some might give them out to practically every player, coach, or member of staff, other teams might be more selective.
