http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7008269/nba-postpones-camps-cancels-43-preseason-gamesNEW YORK -- The NBA postponed training camps indefinitely and canceled 43 preseason games Friday because it has not reached a new labor deal with players.
All Oct. 9-15 games are off, the league said. Camps were expected to open Oct. 3.
NBA.com's schedule page, which has a banner across the top listing the number of games on each day, was changed Friday morning to read "0 Games" for each date until Oct. 16, when there are four games scheduled.
Well it looks like we're definitely going to miss some regular season games this year.

I really hope some sort of a hard cap is implemented. We have the right people running the organization and I feel if everyone is on a level playing field (cap wise), we'd have a huge huge advantage over a lot of teams. Who the hell was our most expensive backup last year? Splitter? I know blair and Neal are paid less than a mil. Bonner gets 3 mil. Hill like a 1 or 2 mil. Lakers and Dallas have double the salary.

We're going to see a hard cap when basketball returns, its a big thing with the owners and I doubt they'll sign a new CBA without it.

Well reports are now out that there might not be a hard cap but perhaps a stronger version of the current CBA. Whatever is fine, as long as it limits the spending a big market team can make, and increase what a small market team can spend. Otherwise, right now it's just not fair.

Ya I just seen that, they didn't give an exact number on what the increase would be but they did say the number would be "severely increased". Hopefully this is just a compromise to get other more important changes done.
The MLE needs to get lowered by least a million if not more, salaries need to be reduced by a couple percent and the league needs an amnesty clause as well.

There is a part of me that is just blah with the lockout.
I mean if football can figure it out... why can't basketball.
I am kinda eh with Wade and company with his 50 million dollar remark.
