Antonio McDyess Appreciation Thread

We've waived him, so he's hanging it up after 17 years. I liked him for us, obviously we got him at the tail end of a solid career and following a mini-resurgence in Detroit, but he was a strong presence and played well in the limited minutes he saw.

Dude was all heart and will be missed.

Antonio was a very solid player for us and always gave it all on the floor. It was a great career for him and I almost feel sorry we denied him the only chance he got at a title ( :lol: well, not really) in '05.

I am not really sure whether we can find a solid replacement for him this season or if he would have still been better than anyone we could get for the minimum... But his retirement was something we expected so thanks for the memories, Antonio!

We lost a good player and a true man...
He did on the court what he had to do and more...

He was awesome here and a true professional. Love him, gave it all while he was here. :) Never thought that he would have such a long career after his knee injuries.
