GT: Spurs vs. Timberwolves

Post#1 » by Nolan » Mon Jan 2, 2012 12:51 am

When: 8:00 PM ET, January 2, 2012
Where: Target Center, Minneapolis, MN

VS

Starting Lineups:

Spurs:
PG - Tony Parker
SG - Manu Ginobili
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF - Tim Duncan
C - DeJuan Blair

Timberwolves:
PG - Luke Ridnor
SG - Wesley Johnson
SF - Michael Beasley
PF - Kevin Love
C - Darko Milicic

We're 3-1 heading into in Minny in what should be another easy win.

The Wolves have been decent so far this year and Kevin Love has continued his outstanding play from last season. Containing Love is going to be the key to this game, if we keep him off the offensive glass and force him onto the perimeter we should have a good shot at winning this game.

Go Spurs!!

I really think that calling this "another easy win" may be a bit premature.

I don't think this will be easy at all. The Wolves played us tough last year, they never beat us but the games were competitive.

They've lost some close ones already this year and just hammered the Mavs. I don't expect an easy win at all.

Expect the Spurs to win this one...as the Wolves are still trying to figure out how to win the close ones. Since the Spurs aren't going to roll over like the Mavs did tonight, at crunch-time, San Antonio finds a way to win. If Minnesota wins this game, it is their biggest win since advancing to the WCF.

Well now Minny has a decent coach and that should help close out games. Plus the team is young and still learning the small things that it takes to win. I hope they can keep their young core together because I think they'll be dangerous in a few seasons.

I can see us getting upset. Love is a beast and they have alot of um... guys who will run all over the place. Manu and Parker need to be on their game for us to win/.

Yeah. I think if Manu has an off game - which he no doubt will at some point - we will fall. We're living and dying by him this season.

Love is absolutely killing it this year, great for me cause I've got him on my fantasy hoops team. 35p 17r on 5-6 3pt against Dallas. He's a beast.

I wish we have a good start of the game, with a lot of energy to take advantage of the fact that they are in the second night of a b2b..

-4 vs. OKC (5-0) Beasley misses the Jumper for OT
-3 vs. Milwaukee (2-1) Love misses the 3 for OT
-2 vs. Miami (5-0) Ellington misses the Jumper for OT
+17 vs. Dallas

OKC and Miami are 10-0 together, and won there games vs. the Wolves just in the last seconds!
How can you talk about a easy win?

The Spurs are not well represented on RGM. There's like 5 regular posters here.

well that makes 2/3 of Texas for the Timberwolves, they could definitely surprise some people this year. The Ginobili injury's a tough one with the way he's been playing lately. Has anyone heard a timetable on his hand?

If we can play .500 ball in that time we'll be fine. Us and the Grizz are in a similar position now that Z-Bo is out as well.
