Starting Lineups:

Spurs:
PG - Tony Parker
SG - Daniel Green
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF - Tim Duncan
C - DeJuan Blair

Pistons:
PG - Brandon Knight
SG - Rodney Stuckey
SF - Tayshaun Prince
PF - Jason Maxiell
C - Greg Monroe

The key to tonights game is going to be stopping Greg Monroe. The big center has been excellent so far this year and when he plays well the Pistons are a tough team.

Go Spurs!!

Betting sites have us winning by 9. I hope the Spurs don't win by 9 points because I'm betting on Detroit losing less than 9 points.

I'd be surprised if we lose this game. I'm tuning in on the NY-Toronto game instead. I wanna watch Lin again. Watching the Spurs game afterwards.

1st quarter, 6 minutes left in the game. Greg Monroe is a big dude. 5 rebounds already in the game.

Anyways, today Green is the starter. Kawhi first guy comes off the bench for Danny Green.

Neal comes shortly after so that's probably not a sign of the latest pecking order. Kawhi starts the game well getting to the boards, and just finished got a steal and an and-1.

Also, the SF minutes so far is RJ, and then Kawhi. No other players play SF yet other than those two. that could be another sign that Kawhi can stay in the rotation as RJ's primary backup.

Starters are Parker, Green, RJ, Blair, Duncan.

2nd lineup in the game is Neal, Manu, Kawhi, Bonner, Splitter.

Judging simply from the 1st quarter, Neal is battling TJ Ford for minutes right now, not Kawhi or Green.

3rd lineup of the game, Parker, Green, RJ, Bonner, Splitter.

Prince is extremely aggresive tonight. Already have 12 points. Parker isn't playing well so far. Couldn't get to the rim and his midrange shots are off.

4th lineup, Neal, Manu, RJ.

Not a good sign for Neal. He has not played any SG or SF minutes so far. He's always on the floor with Manu as the backup PG along with Kawhi/RJ.

Well I feel like this game shouldn't be this close but we're playing. Duncan's having a great game so far.

End of 1st half, minutes distribution goes like this:

SF: RJ 16 minutes, Kawhi 8 minutes
SG: Green 9 minutes, Manu 13 minutes, Neal 2 minutes
PG: Parker 15 minutes, Neal 9 minutes

Not that close. Detroit had one run between the end of 1st and start of 2nd but that's it. From about the midway point in the 2nd quarter, our lead has never been less than 8 points. Turnovers has been a problem for us thus far. We've got 10 already. Our season average is 14. And we're giving up offensive rebounds. 5 more shots for Detroit than us right now. But we have a 9 point lead in a half. Road games are usually a close game. I'd say winning by 9 points in a road game in one half is pretty solid. Prince and Ben Gordon is shooting quiet well. Monroe has been pretty much non-existent other than the first few minutes of the game where he was tipping his own missed inside shots.

Start of 3rd, Parker, Green, RJ.

Followed with Parker, Manu, RJ

Then Neal, Manu, RJ. (Neal first off the bench this time instead of Kawhi, but he's still not playing the SG/SF position. Primarily a playmaker with Manu. Gotta think TJ Ford beats Gary Neal for PG playing time.)

Now Neal, Manu, Kawhi.

I think Neal is injured. Tweaked his ankle.

He heard you.

Midrange jumper from the FT line, and a 3 pointer by Ben Wallace. Pistons down 6.

And he just sank a free throws.

*edit I guess he went 1 of 2 not 2 of 2.
