GT: Spurs vs. Jazz

Post#1 » by Nolan » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:04 pm

When: 9:00 PM ET, February 20, 2012
Where: EnergySolutions Arena, Salt Lake City, UT

Starting Lineups:

Spurs:
PG - Tony Parker
SG - Daniel Green
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF - Tim Duncan
C - DeJuan Blair

Jazz:
PG - Devin Harris
SG - Raja Bell
SF - Gordon Hayward
PF - Paul Millsap
C - Al Jefferson

We're coming off a huge overtime win over the Clippers to face the suprising Jazz in Salt Lake City. This could be a tough one for us because of the injuries to Manu and Tiago but there still hasn't been any word on the severity of their injuries.

Go Spurs!!

Blair's gonna need to bust out one of those 15/13, 18/11 games.... obv. Splitter's inclusion has balanced out roles and shots, but he's out and ideal for Duncan to have it easier.

Timmy having played a lot of minutes in LA will also have an effect on this game. I'd be surprised to see him play more than 25mins against Utah.

The way TP is playing I think a win is definitely possible, regardless of everything else that's up against us.

We'll be playing this one without: Manu Ginobili, Tiago Splitter, and TJ Ford.

I expect the winning streak to end tbh. If it somehow doesn't, then it definitely end tomorrow. Even the Spurs can't keep winning with all these injuries and missing players.

Too bad the Enver Choketts tanked a game last night with bad play after bad play. Yeah, the Thunder got almost every whistle in OT and in the last 4 minutes, but the Nuggets still could've easily won had they not turned the ball over what like 7x in the last 9 minutes (mostly unforced turnovers), and not jacked up stupid shots 5 seconds into the shot clock as if the ball was on fire and they wanted to get it out of their hands as soon as possible.

Well i'm expecting a lot of small ball tonight. Leonard and Blair are both going to have to step up tonight.

This is the game Paul Millsap rape our frontcourt.
Danny Green or Kawhi should defend Hayward

Anybody else seriously dislike the stupid offense late in this game? We were up 4 with less than 3 minutes left and they were jacking up quick shots as if we were down 8 and needing to make a comeback. If they just drained the clock a bit more the game would feel a lot different right now. Now the Jazz just hit a shot to make it a 2 point game with tons of time left.

I thought we were the Spurs, not the Warriors.

TD played 38 minutes. He has played a lot of minutes in the last 4 games. I don't think he will play tomorrow
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”
