Starting Lineups:

Spurs:
PG - Patrick Mills
SG - Daniel Green
SF - Kawhi Leonard
PF - Boris Diaw
C - DeJuan Blair

Warriors:
PG - Charles Jenkins
SG - Klay Thompson
SF - Richard Jefferson
PF - Jeremy Tyler
C - Mickell Gladness

Last game of the regular season tonight. The game really doesn't mean anything for either team so this one should be a battle of the benchs.

Go Spurs!!

I heard on one of the NBA shows last night that the Warriors will lose a protected draft pick to the Jazz if they win tonight. . .so they will absolutely be tanking. The win gains nothing, whereas the loss gets them a extra high draft pick. There's way too much to gain by the Warriors losing. . .Spurs take this game even if we suck badly. Though I expect the Warriors will be playing Matador defense all night, and someone like Blair, Spitter, or Jackson/Mills will blow their load in the Warriors' mouths all night. And they'll just take it like bitches to get that draft pick.

Was hoping to see RJ, but guess not.

Patty shoots way too much for my liking so far. Well, I guess it's still better than seeing Blair try to be Tim Duncan out there... He's too short and severely lacking post moves to really go one on one on people. He's fine finishing in a pick and roll situation, but from a postup situation, he's got nothing there.

Cory Joseph is a pretty strong rebounder for a guard. He's really getting after the rebounds tonight.

Byars got facialed!!!

Not seeing anything from Byars so far. He looks comfortable shooting the three (in that he kept on launching) but he's not making it. Not sure how good he actually is at that. Looks like he's got a good build much like Sjax. I assume he's probably around the same size perhaps. 6'7 or 6'8 and 225 lbs maybe? But really, not seeing anything. Not a scorer, has the body to be a defensive player but really isn't showing tenacity or anything on that end either. I don't know why the name sounds so familiar thou.. Derrick Byars. Almost like I've heard that somewhere before.

Cory Joseph looks a lot more comfortable now than he did early in the season. His time at Austin is paying off I guess. He's more aggresive on the offensive end trying to penetrate and what I really like is his play on the defensive end. Early on, Klay Thompson was posting him up and I thought Joseph was physical on his defense. I don't remember if Klay make his shots are not, but I just remember Joseph doing a pretty good job there. And then he's out there getting up high for rebounds and all that, he earned some points from me tonight.

Patty Mills cut down his shooting after the first quarter but I guess we do needed that from him with the guys who are playing tonight.

Our second best scorer is probably James Anderson and despite his high total points tonight, I'm not seeing anything special. He just looks average on all areas offensively. Not that good of a shooter, not that good of a slasher, decent dribbling skills, decent quickness/speed, decent athleticism, poor finishing skills around the rim.. He's not a bad player, but he doesn't really provide anything special to the team. When it comes to our SGs, Gary Neal is the best scorer, Danny Green is the best defender, James Anderson is just the guy in between.

Byars was a 2nd round pick in 2007. Went to Vanderbilt.

lol, well it ended up being true.

Splitter and Jackson didn't play, so let's see what Blair and Mills did!

Blair: 22 points 13 boards, 53% shooting
Mills: 34 points, 12 assists, 5 boards, 56% shooting

Return to San Antonio Spurs
