A petition to fight flopping

As a Bulls fan trying to find things to do with myself besides suicide, I decided to start a Change.org petition against flopping in the NBA.
All it took was 300,000 signatures on this site for Bank of America to drop their $5 debit card fee.
If you think, as I do, that flopping is ruining the game, go on there and sign the petition. It takes five seconds. In a couple hours with nothing other than posting on the general board here I have a handful of signatures.
http://www.change.org/petitions/nationa ... uspensionsStern and the NBA obviously don't have to listen to Jeff Van Gundy, but maybe with enough people voicing their displeasure, they'd have to take the issue seriously and look at doing something, anything about it.
Mods feel free to lock if you don't want this on your team's board.

Most players flop because the refs aren't calling legitimate fouls against players on league-preferred teams like the Thunder, Lakers, Knicks, and Heat. Players have no options besides to flop, or just choke down a biasedly officiated game and take a loss.
I'd never sign a petition that intends to stop players from embellishing a little bit to force the refs to call the game properly.
Fake flops, where players pretend like they got punched in the face or pretend like they got pushed or hit when they didn't, yes, I don't like those and they should probably be fined for it afterward. But removing flops entirely? GTFO. Not all flopping has cheating intentions. The game's rules are heavily tilted in favor of offense, or in particular charging into the hoop and throwing up tiger knees and getting whistles in their favor anyway despite it should in reality be a charge.
Taking out flopping would ruin the game and lead to even more horribly officiated games than we already have. Knicks will win 50+ every year, Heat will win the title every year that the Thunder don't, and the Lakers would never fall below .500 ever again even if they had 12 Smush Parker clones on the roster.

Beat me too it. I will miss his extraordinary long and pointless posts and his love for RJ.

Yeah, his affection for RJ was comical. I knew I couldn't take him seriously when he said RJ fit in well on the team and was "great".

Well guys, I'm gonna be honest here. I don't hate Sin. He has opinions that I think was different than anybody, but that's it.
As far as his comments on the Gen Board where he was being.. yeah, a douche.. At the same time, it was a general board. Fans do get cocky and act like a douche after a win. Trust me, if this were againts Dallas, we'd be reading a much worse douche Dallas Fans on our board, much less the General Board. So in that sense, I thought I agree that he was being a douche, but does warrant being waived? Or even suspended? I don't know.. I thought I've seen much worse than fans being a douche. But what's done is done. He's out of this board now. I couldn't care less either. He was... a different personality, but as a fellow Spurs fan, I embraced it. Hell, I thought DK is an ass, but we're all in the Spurs family so I don't take things personally.

It wasn't just that one incident that led to him being waived. He was already on very thin ice.
