Gregg Popovich has been named the 2011-12 NBA Coach of the Year.

Popovich was also Coach of the Year in 2003.

San Antonio had a 50-16 record this season and were tied with the Bulls for the best record in the NBA.

Well deserved. We had an amazing season and he was the driving factor behind it. The way he handled minutes, dealt with injuries, worked the rotation and brought along the young players this year was simply amazing.

He deserves it even though i don't think he gives a crap about it

I'm sure on some level pop is pleased, but he'd much rather walk away being called 5 time championship winning coach.

It's ok we can be impressed for him. Regardless of how the next few weeks play out it's been a great effort coaching wise.

Absolutely deserved. He should have more than 2.
