I'm giving my hats off to OKC. I mean, their guys came up when they need it. And that's where the Star Power of OKC wins. Look at Durant and Harden making incredibly big shots in game 5. Or watch Ibaka showed up big in game 4. We rely on our bench a lot, but slowly our bench is disappearing. Now we're forced to play our best 8 guys againts their best 8 guys and that takes out our bench advantage. With our depth becoming a non-factor, OKC has the advantage.
Plus, I really didn't know a switching defense could effect our offense like this. I figured OKC has all the tools needed to defend us. Size, length, shotblocking at the rim, quickness, etc. I thought the OKC I watched in 1st round, 2nd round, and the first 2 games are nothing like what they are these last 3 games. You know, first game it happens, I roll my eyes.. They're lucky.. Second game, I'm more like "hmmm....". After the third game, you just have to give them props.
I still like our team and hope we can retain it. This series right here IMO is the NBA Finals. Let's hope our kids grow up. With Tim/Manu possibly declining, we need our youngsters to break out. Kawhi I hope turns out to be a defensive juggernut and bring something more to the offensive end. I'm just excited to see his improvements over the next 5 years.
