Erazem Lorbek has been offered the most lucrative contract in Barcelona's history.
Lorbek is considering coming over to the Spurs to begin his NBA career.
The Spurs acquired the draft rights to Lorbek last June in a trade involving Kawhi Leonard for George Hill.
Lorbek averaged 12.2 points and 4.3 rebounds over 25.3 minutes per game for Barcelona last season.

Well there was a ton of speculation that he was coming over this year, I guess we can put that to bed if there's any truth about the offer Barcelona's making.

I wonder how much that actually is. I have no idea what is currently the most lucrative offer Barcelona ever made.

I am a bit surprised at the headline since Barcelona actually have Juan Carlos Navarro on a lifetime contract (meaning he will be under those conditions until he is capable of playing). I can't imagine them valuing any other player higher than Navarro.
The question is whether Lorbek really wants to go for an NBA career or will go for the money (which will be in Europe).

It's not that much for NBA standarts. 3m euros before taxes.
In order to match this offer, SA would have to give Lorbek something like 4m/year. San Antonio never pays much for unproven NBA players. Manu got the LLE when he came even though he was a star in Europe and Splitter got 3m/year even though he was the Spanish League MVP.
I think SA offered him the BAE and he probably wants more than that. I still think Diaw is the 1st priority for SA in terms of BIGs.

Well, DeJuan Blair said that Spurs are bringing one big guy from overseas.. Must be Lorbek.
Let's trade DeJuan to Orlando for some of their 1st round picks they are getting on the Dwight Howard deal..

Like I said in the pre-season, I'm fine with drafting him for a 1st round pick. I'm just not sure what the market would be for him after we got him out of the rotation.

I really don't blame Blair for this. It has to hurt his confidence to benched for no apparent reason. I mean, first time it was for McDyess while the team was winning. Happened again this year for Diaw while the team was still winning. One loss to Lakers where Bynum blow up was all it took.
As a fan, I get it. Blair isn't starter material. But there's no good reason to suddenly throw him out of the rotation all together. Blair should be the perfect backup big. He should've still getting regular rotation time even for 10 minutes a night. Even late in the playoffs againts OKC where it's just getting obvious that Blair needs to start getting some playing time.

Sorry, we dont need DeJuan. We are pretty high on Andrew Nicholson (24/12 in his 1st game in the SL) and we have Glen Davis too. Don't be ilused we need a PF because we let Ryan Anderson go, we just let him go because he will be overpaid and we dont need another PF. (we also acquired Gustavo Ayon and Justin Harper can play at 4 too).

Let's trade Blair for Dwight Howard.
Throw in Rasho to make salaries work.

Please Rasho for Dwight? Are we tanking or something? We're getting ripped off

Sad to see how Blair's career has gone to this point, I think he would have made an awesome energy guy off the bench for us but Pop seems to lock him away for most of the important games so there must be some reason behind it.
Played some good games for us but i doubt we see Blair at the season tipoff and seems he'll surely be gone by the dead line
