its about what they where saying he was worth and when you compare him to nicolas batum who had very close stats last year he is getting 12 million a year it looks pretty good

His QO was 3 million so I didn't think he'd sign long term for anything less than that. Had he got something smaller than 3 million, he'd be taking the QO and become unrestricted next season.
Anyways, I don't mind Danny at 4 mil a year. That sounds about right. Him at 3 year 9 mil (Sjax like offer) sounds better though.

Yes! I was afraid some other team might offer something we couldn't match so I'm happy now that we've sealed the deal.

I post more on the Bucks board- (fan of both teams) - Originally from Milwaukee, but went to college and live in San Antonio now.
It's funny how jealous Bucks fans are of the Spurs organization - it is almost all doom and gloom over there. They are good fans, but haven't had anything to cheer about in a long time. The Spurs really are a great organization. Bucks fans were thinking Green's contract was an absolite steal and when you look at his #'s and what similar players are signing for - it sure looks like the Spurs made a good deal. They also did a smart thing in trading Hill before his contract came up- for the #15 pick and then making a nice pick in Leonard who was very productive right away- that is another very favorable contract for the next three years.

I like the deal. Still very cheap and he has been giving us good production.
Though after the Jefferson stint most contracts seem cheap.
He has been getting better every season with us so I'm pretty happy to get him locked up on a nice friendly contract.

It's actually less than 12m. It starts at 3.5m and the total value is 3y/11.3m
That's great value for Danny IMO. He is worth that, especially considering the contracts that some teams are throwing in this off-season.

Great signing, I was expecting him to get a bit more.
I'm actually suprised there wasn't a lot of interest in him from other teams. He's basically the perfect perimeter role player, good shooter, great defender and just an all around solid player. The type of guy every team in the league could use.

Yeah I thought he might get nabbed by someone else as well. I thought because we had a deep playoff run he might get overpaid by some other team. Glad he's staying on.

I know he's not gonna get nabbed by anyone. Afterall, he's restricted. But I did think someone will pay him more than that. Green basically had an off shooting series only in that OKC game. First two rounds, he defended very well on Paul, made his perimeter shots. I mean, he actually had a good playoff performance when i look at the whole picture. I figured someone would pay him 5 mil a year to get him away from us.
Green commited to us pretty quickly. I'm guessing he just wants to be here and willing to take less. Or perhaps he actually didn't get many offers out there because that early in Free Agency, teams are focused on the bigger names. Not the lesser ones. Especially not the young ones.

IMO it's a great deal. He had a good year and I honestly thought another team would offer him more with all the crazy contracts being thrown around this offseason.
