GT: Grizzlies vs. Spurs

Post#1 » by Nolan » Sat Dec 1, 2012 6:01 pm

When: 8:30 PM ET, December 1, 2012
Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX

Starting Lineups:

Grizzlies:
PG - Mike Conley
SG - Tony Allen
SF - Rudy Gay
PF - Zach Randolph
C - Marc Gasol

Spurs:
PG - Tony Parker
SG - Gary Neal
SF - Danny Green
PF - Tim Duncan
C - DeJuan Blair

Well with our three best players nice and rested we should be ready to take on the very tough Grizzlies tonight.

Z-Bo and Gasol have been unreal so far this year so the key to this games going to be controlling the paint and for us to win that battle Splitter and Blair are going to have to step up.

Go Spurs!!

Sweet win!

Duncan is just awesome, was everywhere again defensively slowed down Gasol and their paint game combined with Bonner being active and solid on Randolph and helping on the perimeter

Grizz were without Tony Allen, but Spurs didn't have Jax and Leonard the two best defenders and rebounders on the perimeter, plus their size, agility and shooting on offense

Yeah, that was sweet.

Duncan and Parker carried us in the first half.

That third quarter was frustrating as hell. We could make shots, Marc Gasol on fire, they're making every shot. Grizz up 15 points at one point. Our bench crew comes in and it's not exactly a crew that I have faith on.. I believe it was Nando, Mills, Neal, Splitter, Bonner? I'm glad we didn't stick with that lineup for too long. they gave us a spark, and Pop decided to bring out the big guns one by one.

Neal went on fire at the right time, the 4th quarter. Nando gave us great production in those limited amount of minutes getting rebounds and pushing the ball. Mills did his sparkplug thing. Bonner made a three. Suddenly shots just start to fall down.

Yeah, great win. Danny Green got injured though. We really need Kawhi back now. He was originally scheduled to come back on this game. Hopefully he's ready for the next.

In other words, Boris Diaw at SF turns out to be not so bad. He's still better as a PF and more productive, but he's not hurting us when he's playing SF in those short stretches.

Pop proved once again that his decisions were correct. F*** STERN! If we played our starters vs Miami I think we'd have dropped 2 games instead of one. Trust in Pop.

Pop proves how it's done. GOAT coach.

Oh, what happened to Danny Green? Didn't watch the game.
