How would Tony Parker be ranked if he were an American

Post#1 » by StatAintLie » Mon Feb 18, 2013 8:17 am

Spurs team is reaching 50 wins again and it is really hard to see a team operates like a well-maintained machine. Although Spur has Tim Duncan as the greatest PF in the history, Tony Parker also plays a huge role.

I still remember that last year there was a survey asking who was the fastest player. You guys may think about D-Rose or Westbrook, but the answer was surprising. Tony Parker is the choice.

The way of Parker's playing is not so fascinating as CP3, DRose or Westbrook but he can always have the best FG% in the paint. For a point guard, that is not easy.

Currently Spurs has the best record and definitely now the franchise play is Parker. But people doesnt seem to pay attention to this first international Final MVP. This season Parker's stat is about 20+8.

If the criteria of MVP is "the best player of the best team", I believe TP should be considered. But now when we talk about who is the best point guard we say its CP3, Irving, Westbrook, D-Rose, D-Williams, Rondo...Nobody even mention Tony Parker. Compared to these guys, Tony Parker has 4 rings, is Final MVP, has a beautiful ex-wife...

If Tony Parker were an American player instead of French, he would be voted as top 3 PG.

I don't think it's because of him being French, but more because of he plays in a small market.

I agree with laper

It has nothing to do with France. If Parker played for the Knicks or LA, he would be a GOD in this league.
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”
