Tony Parker out!

Out a month.

Big question right now is where the Spurs gonna get their offense from, especially the first unit.

Without Parker, the next best player in the starting lineup is Duncan. But going exclusively to Duncan as a first option basically change the whole entire offense from being a P&R system into a low post offense.

I'm hoping Kawhi takes the reign and start initiating the offense and attack the rim all the time. Another option is to start Manu, but that benches Danny Green and that's only a short term fix that would messes up the team's current rotation.

Either way, it'll be interesting to see what we look like without Tony. I'm definitely excited to see it. Really hopes Kawhi steps up. He's gotten very aggresive lately since that one game where he broke out and had the offense run through him.

Duncan may get more touches, but I doubt Pop changes the offensive scheme. Kawhi is great, but he is not ready to initiate the offense. Like Duncan, he will get more touches and hopefully it gives him more confidence going to the playoffs.

Considering that Manu essentially runs the point in the 2nd unit (he just had 15 assists last night running the point), nothing would make more sense than starting him as the point guard. SA can't have unproven players like Nando, Mills or Cojo initiating the offense and playing 30+ minutes per game with the starters out of nowhere.

To me the main rotation should be like this :

Manu/Nando or Mills
Green/Neal
Leonard/Jack
Splitter/Diaw
Duncan/Splitter

I would even give Cojo a chance to run the 2nd unit to see how he plays.

SA will miss Tony obviously, but they can live without him in the regular season. SA simply needs him 100% healthy in the playoffs.

Sucks, but he could do with the rest. Just in time for the playoffs as well.

Time for others to step up. We always claim to be deep, this is the time to show it.

Joesph started tonight and he's actually looked pretty good so far. I think him and Nando can handle it and S-Jax and Manu can pick it the load on the offensive end.

I think we'll be fine.

Even if we go .500 the rest of the way, we're still around 58 wins to end the season. So that should be good for a 2 or 3 seed. But I imagine we'll play better than .500 ball over that span, so I don't see us dropping off much at all.

True enough, and although I don't see him playing big minutes he's the best defender among the small guards on the team. Outplayed 8th overall pick Brandon Knight on both ends.

Pop ended the 3rd with Manu at point and Green/KL/Jax on the wings, with the Duncan-Splitter frontcourt.
