Deshaun Thomas Drafted with 58th Pick

High scoring combo forward who had a pretty good three seasons at Ohio State. Its hard to say whether his game will translate, but worth the risk considering it was 58th pick.

I don't know how frequently this occurs during drafts, but Thomas didn't bother letting the Spurs contact him. How often do you pick a guy who isn't interested in you?

I don't think there's any way he's doing anything but D-league for us. Really wish we had traded this pick for something, anything in the future- draft picks or cap flexibility. Who knows, maybe they saw something coachable.

Im good friends with Deshaun and he received the call in college and thought it was a prank call, he has nothing against the Spurs.

We work (worked i guess) out together for lifting and shooting workouts
