How awesome has this guy been lately? I liked the pickup from day one but I never thought he'd be playing this good for us.
Over his last five he's scoring 13.4 per game and shooting 67% from deep and along with that he's been crazy effective with the ball in his hands. He barely ever turns it over and he's such a skilled passer.
Thoughts on Marco so far?

I think Marco has been great . He's a perfect fit for the Spurs . He has a high basketball IQ , he has all the skills and a team player . I think in time he will start over Danny Green .His defence also improved greatly playing for Tom Thibideau last year .Great move by the Spurs ..

I've been very surprised. His ability to move without the ball is the one thing that stood out to me because no one ever said anything about that.
Shooting, yeah people said it even thought not at this scorching rate. I do expect him to cool down a bit.
Passing, didn't see it at first but it was talked about so I was expecting some courtvision and he showed it.
The slashing part of his game that people talked about when comparing Neal to Marco, I hadn't seen it. I remember reading articles about how Marco gets to the line more than Neal.
I don't think his defense is good enough to warrant benching Danny Green, unless the we're facing an opponent with no stud PG/SG. Not many teams don't have studs at that positions. Marco hasn't been torched defensively yet but he hasn't been assigned to great scorers yet either.
Danny's biggest value is in his defense and his 3 point shooting. Next to Parker, that's what we value most. And I don't think Marco beats Danny in that.

I'm actually not surprised by Marco. He is born to play in this kind of system. It took him a few games to understand the system well.. he had some games where he was a bit shy, didn't try too much, was just maintaining his position and learning. Last few games, also thanks to some great shooting nights, he got much confidence and started to play with more freedom. he is been passing the ball extremely well, shooting with great confidence, taking rebounds and running the with the ball.
It's impossible for him to keep up with these shooting stats, but at least now he is comfortable with the system, and is a solid contributor. I like him coming off the bench with Manu and share playmaking duties, taking of some pressure out of the argentinian legend. Danny is good as a starter, even if he didn't start the season particularly well. The moment of truth has to be the playoffs.. now it's all good, we will have to see how Beli does especially defensively against the best teams. I imagine him being a huge factor in like a couple of games in important series... good luxury to have.

Kinda agree with you on that. Marco's already starting to get crunch time minutes and Green's been struggling.

I really wanted the spurs to draft him so now that he has made his way here and doing well for us is a bonus.
Loving the minutes he is giving us.
Even pop said he's adjusted to the system quicker than any 1st year player before him

His brilliance has overcome the suckiness of Danny Green and the underwhelming start for Kawhi Leonard. I love how he meshes with Ginobili, it's like they each know where the other is going to be three moves ahead of the D.

I use to cringe / not even want to watch when Neal entered the game. I get excited when Marco enters the game.
I think that says it all

Marco gotta learn to change speeds. He doesn't have that ability. Parker and Manu can create seperation on their shots and getting to the rim because of their ability to change speed. Marco plays with one speed and it's slow.
Other than that, Marco has been a pleasent surprise.
