Looking from the outside in, he's making 10m/year(more then Manuel) averaging 10/6. How much is he really worth?

He's overpaid but most centers are. I'd say he's worth 8M a season.

Agreed. Just about every big man in this league is overpaid. I've always wondered what we would look like if we went in a different direction over the summer though and having Millsap or Asik in his place. That being said, we were a few seconds from a championship so I'm sure the team may have feared taking a step backward by making a change if it didn't work out. We were familiar with Splitter so it was the safe play.

about 8 what Nolan said. But for the reasons above ^ is why we probably kept him. To be fair he played hard and is willing to adapt to whatever pop puts out. Also up until his injury he was our defence.
But yeah, long term i'd like to see someone else in the 5th but i can't make up my mind on who that would be in an ideal world.

Right now? A lot. I don't expect a 10 million per year guy to only average 20 minutes a game. If he was getting 30-34 minutes a game on this team, that would justify him being indispensable. It'll show his importance to this team that we rely on him so much that we need him on the floor.
I think he'll probably be worth his contract once Tim Duncan retires, because then he'll truly be indispensable to us. Finding a good starting caliber Center is hard in this league, and we have Duncan and Splitter. So once Duncan retires, we'll need Splitter to play closer to 34 minutes a game and he'll be putting up better numbers and bigger impact for the team.
Right now, he's playing like a 7 mil guy.
