Karl said the Spurs have been interested in Smith, who was a free agent this past offseason before signing a three-year, $18 million contract with the Knicks.

"I know (the Spurs) have thought about bringing him in," said Karl, an ESPN analyst. "San Antonio doesn't make a lot of mistakes."

Anyways, I think Karl got inside source on this and I believe it. Ofcourse, I mean that Spurs thought of bringing him in in the past, not at this moment. Right now, who knows? But in the past, most likely yes.

First, we nearly traded Brent Barry for him half a decade ago but it was finalized a little too late. But he was in New Orleans back then. I'm sure Karl said that because Spurs showed interest in JR Smith during Karl's stay in Denver.

I just hope we don't trade for him now. Jr Smith is a huge mess.

Honestly, I'd rather have Chris Smith on the roster than JR right now

I wouldn't touch J.R. with a 10 foot pole. He could sneeze in our locker room and infect the entire team with suck......

If JR can't get along with Woodson, what chance does he have with Pop? I wouldn't want him. Where is he playing with Beli, Ginobili and Green in front of him?
