Even though he was only six when they won their last championship, Tony Parker says he remembers the fabled Showtime Lakers. For Manu Ginobili, growing up in Argentina with no easy access to the NBA, his introduction would not come until their run — and running — was done.

Now part of NBA history themselves, both expressed a combination of pride and honor to have tied, along with Tim Duncan, L.A.’s core of Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Michael Cooper for second on the NBA’s all-time list among trios with 490 career victories after their 103-90 conquest of Portland on Wednesday.

Only Boston’s trio of Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parish won more games together, with 540 from 1980 to 1992.

Pretty amazing feat for this franchise and its very possible for them to break the Celtics record as well.

Amazing! If the big 3 can play 1-2 more seasons together, they'd be the all-time leaders. One of the NBA's more hidden and under appreciated treasures to play the game. Managed to go see them in action in Toronto in December and my god all I can was the ball movement and the way they played was mind blowing. Payed $30 for nosebleeds sadly, but it was worth the price. I regret not being able to see John Stockton play in person before he retired, but at least got to see the big 3 before Timmy retires. Hopefully he stays b/c he's the Bruce Lee/Chuck Norris of power forwards.

As a Raptors fan, I'd be lying if I weren't a little envious but hopefully Kawhi takes the reigns for the franchise when the big 3 call it a career.

Really its very possible for them to break the record next year. 10 more wins together this year and at least 41 next year.

Barring any injuries, that should be easy.

I hope they break this record before they retire. Here's hoping that the big 3 stay healthy next year. Manu and Duncan, with their age, it's usually injuries that retires old great players.

Doesn't that include playoff victories? I think they have one more year after this together. So if we get 16 wins in the playoffs, wink wink, then whatever else in the regular season they could get it to a pretty achievable number next year.

As mentioned above, they should break this next year, barring injuries.

Right now, Duncan is looking like he could be very productive even after next year. This will be a really nice achievement to add to an incredible career. I have him around #7 on my all time list. Just an incredible "team" player.
