straight years of 50+ wins

It marks the 15th straight campaign the Spurs have reached that plateau, the best stretch in NBA history. (The Lakers are second with 12 in a row, from 1979-80 to 1990-91.)

-00: 53 victories
-01: 58
-02: 58
-03: 60
-04: 57
-05: 59
-06: 63
-07: 58
-08: 56
-09: 54
-10: 50
-11: 61
-12: 50 (shortened season)
-13: 58
-14: 50

But for the 1998-99 lockout, after which the Spurs won 37 of 50 games for the third-best win percentage (74.0) of the Duncovich era, they’d almost certainly have 17 straight 50-win seasons. (The Spurs won 56 in 1997-98, Duncan’s rookie season.)

Pretty amazing streak. We truley are spoiled.

One thing that is looking so bleak right now.. Pop's successor. I mean.. our lead assistant is.. Jim Boylan? Jeez.. I hope that's not our next coach. Atleast when Bud was here, you can envision that's your next coach and you're okay with it. Even when Jacque Vaughn was here. But right now... I don't want anyone on our bench to become the next coach.
