Post#1 » by drk3351 » Mon Jul 7, 2014 4:29 am

A video I made where I breakdown the Spurs offense from 1999 when they won their first title. Its a good comparison from what their offense is like today. Thanks for watching.

Great video !

From a team perspective, I think our offense in 2014 is more impressive. We didn't have one single dominant player like we did in 99 with D-Rob and Duncan but we still could dominate a great team with the best player in the NBA in only 5 games.

I agree with you that even though that offense wasn't as pretty as it is right now, it fit the personnel that they had back in 99.

It's always awesome to see how great young Duncan was. So mobile, so great in the post. Could kill you in the high post, in the low post, his passing skills were great and even when he was double teamed he could score.
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”
