GT: Pelicans vs. Spurs

by Nolan
When: 8:30 PM ET, November 8, 2014
Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX
Should be another good one tonight against another tough south western division opponent in Anthony Davis and the Pelicans.
The key to this one is going to be containing AD on offense and limiting his impact on the other end.
Duncan and Manu will be back for this one but Marco and Tiago will sit this one out.
Go Spurs!!

Let's get it! Everyone's buzzing about the 'Cans (shorthand for Pelicans... haha), so a win against a fairly high-profile team would be a nice confidence surge for a team that has looked pretty ordinary so far.
Go Spurs.

Much better half offensively. Kawhi still not settled after missing the preseason. If he steps up we will be a lot more dominant. The Pelicans hit some low percentage shots that quarter.
I love watching Pops rotations on a nightly basis. He really experiments a lot. I also hate it because sometimes we lol terrible. I would rather see Anderson taking Daye's minutes.

Austin Daye has started the season 5-25.
He can't play anything other than garbage time, let's put a stop to this experiment and give some real players a go.

Agreed. I had high hopes for him after his strong preseason but he's looked awful so far.

Tough loss. We had plently of chances to win this one but AD was just too good.

The Grizzlies had Daye here in Memphis from the Rudy Gay trade. He did nothing short of riding the pine most of the time. I remember seeing him play from his early days as a Piston that his NBA career would not amount to much. Yall are better off playing Kyle Anderson if the Surs haven't done so already.

If I remember right he did string together a few pretty good games you guys right?

It may have been 2 or 3 game where Daye contributed for the Grizzlies. Otherwise, Daye's inconsistencies were too frequent for both the Pistons and Grizzlies to rely on him to be in the rotation.

Yeah that sounds about right. I just remember him having stringing together a couple decent games at the end of the year and then getting a deal from the Raptors because of it.

Yep. Daye knew the Grizzlies were not going to keep him. It's only a matter of time that he's likely to be playing overseas sometime in the near future.

He looked really good in preseason this year but it just hasn't carried over.

He seems to have confidence issues.

Same look he had when he was with the Grizzlies.
