GT: Spurs vs. Grizzlies

When: 8:00 PM ET, December 5, 2014
Where: FedExForum, Memphis, TN
If Gasol plays this will be our toughest test of the season so far. Memphis has looked really good so far and if we're going to win this one we need Baynes, Diaw and Duncan to all have great games on both ends.
Go Spurs!!

Agreed. In my opinion, this will be our biggest test yet- even more than the GS and LAC games. It's one of those games my basketball head tells me Memphis will win, but that my heart tells me Pop's going to run a few tweaks to pull out. Big statement game here.
Let's get it, Spurs!

Marc is gonna play, which I'm glad for. I want to see where the Spurs are at against a healthy Grizz team. Although, we are still missing two of our better players.

Should be fun to watch. Human nature says Grizz should win. They are playing well and want to prove to everyone they are a contender. They should be up for this game. We are ending a road trip and on first night of a back to back and still down a couple of players. On top of that we have nothing to prove in December. A hard game to get up for mentally but if anyone can do it, its the Spurs.

So far so good! Leonard and Ginobili have been great through one quarter. Diaw seems to be struggling to be effective at all, anyone else see that?

I've only been able to catch the last 15 minutes or so, but they're looking pretty good. I don't know about Boris' troubles, but I like what I'm seeing from Green… after the stupid press made a big deal about him getting chewed out by Pop, it's nice to see that it just motivated him to come out and play well tonight.
I'll take a 12 point halftime lead in Memphis any night! Go Spurs!

Memphis has made a good run so far in the 2nd half and we've looked pretty shakey so far. Hopefully we can hold this lead.

Mike Conley is like Tony Parker lite, he's so crafty once he gets into the lane.

MC11 has been coming into his own the last couple of seasons. I will admit when he first got drafted, I did not want no parts of him b/c the Grizzlies already had Kyle Lowry on the roster at the time. He at the time was more aggressive and had the necessary tools to take the lead, but the Grizzlies were determine to get behind MC11 and help groom him to become the player he is today. Glad to say I was wrong.

Well good win tonight against a good team.
Cojo was once again great for us when it mattered, Duncan had a solid game (he did miss a couple chip shots though) and Manu was great as well.
After that hot first quarter Kawhi really struggled on the offensive end but he was still an impact player on the other end. He did a great job of containing Conley in those closing minutes.

Tim Duncan with the triple double! Tiago and Patty are both missed big time. Good bigs like Gasol have been putting huge numbers on the Spurs. Conley and Gasol look great. I really don't see Marc leaving Memphis. If he leaves that team with fall apart.
The other problem is Kawhi not being aggressive. I expected when he was in without the big three we'd see some good stuff and he didn't do anything.

Memphis did a really really good job of closing up the lane on him. The second he put the ball on the floor they had a defender meeting him just outside of the box taking away the drive and the post up and forcing him to either pass it off or take a midrange jumper. He's come a long way on the offensive end this year but he's still got a ways to go and learning how to score/create after that first step is something he needs to work on.

The recap says that's only Timmy's 4th career triple double. I'd swear he had a few more... weird.
The Admiral had 15 or so for his career and one quadruple

It's almost like he was messing with the press by having eye problems, so they can't decide how good he is /will be.
