Yeah, it's been quite surprising, really. They still aren't that good, but it goes to show how effective addition-by-subtraction can be for a career knucklehead like Smith.

Nevertheless, we'll hopefully take this one walking away. Go Spurs!

Pistons are 5-0 and Rockets 3-4 since Smith changed teams. Hilarious really. He launches way too many threes and his shooting in general will hurt Houston (he went 0-9 in the second half yesterday).

Hopefully the Spurs can rest Manu and Tim for most of this one.

Parker's back in action tonight.

You can tell that everyone is terrified of Drummond in the paint.

Ayres is actually being useful tonight.

Pistons are playing well since dumping Smith. The ball movement just flows better since he is gone.

Its weird seeing them on the same floor as the Spurs since I see them every night and many times in person. I always envisioned the Pistons as a bigger team but seeing them next to the Spurs they are actually very small outside of Drummond and Monroe and even they look small next to Splitter and Duncan lol.

We've done well in the first half with our own ball movement and Detroit is still not very solid defensively (especially Monroe). We should be fine. The key do beating Detroit without smith is to not let them get too comfortable with the 3. Monroe and Drummond have had plenty of huge games inside this year only for them to lose by 20, the key is the outside shooting which has been red hot lately, triggering the winning streak.

Pretty solid first half but it doesn't look like the Pistons are going to quit anytime soon should be a good second half.

Tim Duncan is on pace to pass Malone in double doubles tonight. He has 13 pts/6 rbs/2 blks in the first half alone. It's amazing to watch. He has been great tonight so far.
