If we fall out of the playoffs...draft?

Who should we target in the draft? I know it's unlikely still, but it's interesting to speculate.

It's way too early to be thinking about that. But if the draft were today we'd have the 20th pick and I think we could nab somebody pretty decent there. I'm hoping Caris LeVert and his broken foot fall to us.

Don't know about the draft, but I think we should go after a PF/C. preferably someone with a high upside for us to take a project on.

Duncan, splitter, Bonner, Diaw are in their 30s. And Aron Baynes isn't starting caliber. We are going to need serious help and hopefully be able to get a gem out of it. Our PG/SG/SF position is set. There's no reason for us to add another young player to the wings when we're so lacking in youth upfront.

Christian Wood and Trey Lyles are two young bigs that should be available in that range if they declare. Both have a ways to go but both have a ton of upside.

I was looking at the scouting reports of PF and Centers on NBADraft.net. One guy stood out for me at our range.

Frank Kaminsky.

My preference is to bring in a long term project with great athleticism and potential. Frank though seems to be the exact opposite, but he sounds like the kind of guy that the Spurs want. Character, high IQ, versatility, shooting, and passing. If he falls to us, somehow I see the Spurs taking him.
