I was impressed with his offensive display last night. I feel like he forced some things late in the game, but you can tell by his body language that he's getting more comfortable working to create opportunities for himself.

His footwork has gotten so good. I wonder if Duncan's been tutoring him.

Its obvious he is trying to force himself to be more aggressive offensively. I love it.

I know I beat this drum a lot, but he looks like Jordan with his jumper and mid range game but more like Pippen defensively. I'm not saying he is Jordan, to put it in perspective, Jordan averaged 37 pts per game playing 40 minutes per game for the Bulls at Kawhi's age.

Though I wonder if Jordan would've been expected to play a similar role in Pop's system. I don't think there is a player I'd trade Kawhi for today. Anthony Davis is the closest, but a great perimeter defender I value more because of the over use of the three ball in today's NBA. I think Lebron is a better player today, but from a GM standpoint, Kawhi's age would give him more value in a trade. Food for thought.

Funny after so many years, there aren't many players with Jordan's form. Kawhi is almost spot on. Definitely doesn't have the 'elasticity' to his moving around the court as MJ but yeah, looking like a mix of Pip and Jordan for sure. The playoffs are the big test still. I expect the bench (and Parker) to struggle at times so we'll see if Leonard is up to it.

Again, I'd really like to see him not settle for jumpers so much. Getting to the FT line should be a priority next year. He also really needs to develop a left hand. When you see Kawhi drives to the basket, it's almost always right handed. He has so much power going to the rim right handed.

On the positive side, it's good that he already develop the "Older" Jordan post moves this early in his career. This is a move that should get even better as he ages and will always be there for him.

Just out of curiosity, what seems so great about those gif's?

Every single one he set up a mid range jump shot, which is the worst shot in the game. There's no style points, so fundamentally getting yourself a 3, to the basket, or to the line are just better outcomes, no matter how pretty that mid range jumper is.

The gifs themselves really aren't that impressive, what's so impressive is that he's been shooting a high percentage on those tough off the dribble jumpers.

I disagree. It's impressive considering the improvements of his offensive game compared to when he first came in. These moves weren't there in his rookie year. Now he's an above average one. And you have to have a mixed bag of offensive moves. You can't just live on the 3 point line and the FT line like Harden. The more complete you are, the better. Ofcourse, it'd be nice if he's even better at getting to the line and shoots better 3s, but you can't have everything. He's strong at the rim. He has a good 3 point shot. And now he has a good midrange game. Hopefully as he age, he gets better at everything instead of just being good at one thing and bad at others. That offensive versatility will come in handy.
