I don't like getting exicted about summer league performers but he's looked really really good so far.

most teams have no structure, just a bunch of ballhogs doing whatever it t akes to make a roster
but the spurs already have a system in place, simmons dont look like the type to go hero mode outside the system
theres a few g uys on that summer league roster who p lay on the toros...so yeh, 2 or more seasons playing together and knowing the system

Hopefully he gets the playing time in the regular season to prove he belongs. As good an impression I've seen made in Summer League from a Spur.

this guy so far is better then what dg was when he enter the league
i think if simcity can improve his shooting and range, with whatever skill set he has already...could actually see him moving up the rotation first year, then maybe jumping into the starting job one day....
got rid of cojo for a bigger taller player who plays sort of the same but not clumsy dribbling into team traps

If you don't know the history of Simmons here's some facts:
Went to University of Houston, and forgo his Senior year for the Draft (went undrafted). only played 1 year in college - he went to juco then had to sit out a year. He shot 51% 39% from 3, 5 reb/, 2.2 ass/, and avg 14.7ppg
He avg 15.2 ppg on 49% shooting and shot 40% from 3 , 4.4 reb/ and 2.2 ass/with D-league Austin.
You don't want to put too much stock in Summer league, but I def think he has a chance

I remember this guy doing dunks like no respect to defenders. Good thet he got signed. Spurs need athleticsm to run and counter old vets.
